I really only root for Bama and LSU.

But, I only really root against UTk when it comes to other teams.

If it's not a team I'm a fan of or actively despise, it's really just not that big of a deal at the end of the day.

#of back-to-back 10+plus win seasons in last 10 seasons

Alabama – all of em
Arkansas – 0
Auburn – 0
LSU – 1
Mississippi State – 0
Ole Miss – 0
Texas AM – 0

...Winning 10 games in back to back seasons really ain't all that dam difficult these days. Programs like Auburn and LSU shoiuld be able to trip land and fall into back to back 10 win seasons. But they don't. Because they're Alabama's bipolar schizo little sisters.

Alabama plays 5 teams in the preseason Top 25. UGA plays Tennessee

Can you send me a link to the pre-season top 25? As far as I know neither the coaches nor AP polls have released one yet.

Actually no, that's their FPI pre-season rankings. Which when you dig into what that means, you quickly realize are not very meaningful. A power index by definition is based on results that happen on the field. To have a pre-season index is actually imbecilic. The only way to have a pre-season power index is to use prior season information to come up with results, and that will always factor in results from players who are no longer going to be with the team. It's worse than just polling random fans because a random fan will know that Bryce Young is gone.

But if you want to think Texas is a pre-season top 5 team... go for it I guess. I think Texas is much more like they were last year... which was worse than South Carolina.

It's not like 1998, when Tennessee in the post season only had to beat Mississippi State and the frigging Red Rooster led Florida State squad to win the national title

In what world is it our fault who won the west or a starting qb got hurt in an ACC game? You know we could have really used jamal lewis that game as well but he was injured. Why didn't you use the 2009 bama colt Mccoy game or even better the 2021 Jameson Williams deal as an injury that affected the outcome?

So Jameson Williams was more valuable to his team than Chris Weinke and Colt McCoy was to theirs? That'd be like saying that Peter Warrick was more valuable to that FSU team than Weinke. Gotcha

As 'beat up as Alabama and LSU...' ?? Hmmmm...So we play at UT, who beat Bama and trashed LSU last season. In game 3 we play South Carolina who prison-raped that same UT team. Who knows how improved Auburn and Ole Miss will be?...2 teams from the west that Bama and LSU both play. Who then are they playing that's so much more imposing...the Aggies?

I'll root for UGA if they are representing my Beloved South, my Beloved SEC.

I hope I live to see and experience the day it is my Gamecocks.

I'm not saying that at all. You are the one that left colt Mccoy out. If I recall correctly jameson Williams was having a hay day on your secondary prior to his injury. Again not our fault that you feel the team from the west wasn't good enough and some acc quarterback got injured. You're completely throwing a random accomplishment from 20+ years ago out the window while not acknowledging your own pleasantries that came from Injuries

This is impressive and unusual?

I’m a Florida and bama hater

But georgia may have moved to the top of the list

Their fans have become the worst in the conference

Something like 4 catches for 65 yards + no TD, which was well off his pace of the 1st game.

I do. I also know that UGA is not going to be as beat up as the Alabama's and LSU's of the conference at the end of the regular season with the cream puffs you are going to play. Tennessee is the only team on your schedule with a pulse. You're driving a Ferrari and playing a bunch of Volkswagens.

The easy schedule, and no mistake it is ridiculously easy on paper before the season starts and unlikely to change dramatically by seasons end, can go 2 ways. It most likely means you're correct and UGA is healthier than their opponents late in the season...with the difference in quality depth that may well be the difference in the late November tilt in Tennessee. It can also lead to complacency and eating of the rat poison which will lead to a loss in that game. Missouri bloodied UGA's nose last season and UGA needed it BADLY. There is not anyone on the schedule as of now who looks like they will do that before the UT game. Credit where it is due Missouri did not look the part at this point of the season last year either...or even the Saturday morning that they did it. UGA will need to be tested at some point and being a CFB team will probably get bloodied somewhere along the line...if they do not they could be completely healthy and full of rat poison and FAFO in Knoxville which would probably mean UGA had to "back" into the playoff. It is damned tough to go through an SEC season undefeated...it is pretty rare. UGA has done it 2 years in a row. Doing it a third time, even with an incredibly easy schedule, is going to be tough. UGA is probably capable but complacency and rat poison has beaten some really good CFB teams over the years...
