UGA just needs to give him a one year extension, and just wait for Dooley to get canned after next season at Tenn and the can get Dooley for them selves.....

we have to give him an extension for recruiting, but i wold make sure his buyout isn't crazy and keep in mind, idc what we just did with his contract we can easily buy it out

Any change in his current deal whatsoever should be contingent upon the firing/hiring of an Off Co,S&C coach,and Sp Teams coach.Anything less is cosigning on the bullshite Richt does that keeps us mediocre.

This is the answer. I'd give him an extension, but make sure the buyout was structured so I could fire his fricking arse next year if he doesn't win the East or if he loses 4 games.
I don't understand why Bama fans think Kirby Smart is such a hot HC commodity. The dude has proven he can get coffee for Saban. And that is it.
AT least Muschamp stood on his own at Aubie and UT. But, he's not working out so hot so far either.

I agree. But I dont think Grantham is anywhere near HC material. HE is worse than Muschamp at controlling his emotions.

I disagree to a point with some of the comments that richt earned an extension this past year.
If you count GT as a team with a pulse, UGA played 4 teams with a pulse and lost 3.
Gotta look at Richt over life of tenure there and he has earned an extension based on that.
However if I were AD I would offer a 5 year deal contingent on upgrading the OC position. Richt has been painfully slow to remove underperforming Coordinators.

if we don't give him an extension then recruits will not commit and coaches will leave and or not come here

Rumor is .... $4.5 million for 7 years. That'll take him to 60 years old & he's said numerous times he wants to retire at 60 & do his ministry thang...

Is there anyone in the Saban coaching tree that would give one hope that people from his staff are legit? I think some said D'Antonio was part of the Sabpocalypse. This was a planted story by a rival recruiting school. First it was he was fired.....then it was he was going to the mission field......then it was he was going to A&M.

The contract was already in negotiations. Richt denied it from the start.....the AD said he was never contacted by A&M........At the time of the alleged visit he was in Tampa FL at a bowl meeting........

I posted earlier but will say again. A poster on the Vent said this morning the he completely made that up, posted it on an aTm board, and waited to see how long it would take to spread around the internet. This is now twice I've seen it posted on here.
