Well to be fair we would've probably lost the Ole Miss game if we had Etling at QB

With the OP on the fact his play is frustrating. The interceptions don't bother me because he is a freshman. The bad decisions like taking a sack and putting the offense in 2nd and 20 and his fumbling problem are what bothers me.

There is no way we beat Ole Miss without Jalen.

What does this quote have to do with anything???

Only fan base in the world that thinks our QB play got us here wow

You can understand why Jalen should be benched, though. So I'm not surprised.

I'm okay with an undefeated qb.
how about you? would you like an undefeated qb?

All you have to do is listen/watch Finebaum during that time (which is why I let all of that go in one ear and out the other). I prefer the "Wait and See". All I have to say is, "Next years Defense for Bama has big shoes to fill!!"

They'll certainly have a drop off.

I'm thankful that we have Lane Kiffin directing an offense that masks Hurt's inability to throw the ball.
If he ever learns to do that, though, he's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

To be concerned that he won't progress or develop is about as stupid as it gets. Any fan that is unsatisfied with his performance this season is someone that cannot be satisfied.
I couldn't care less about the rookie mistakes and undeveloped passing, because that is to be expected from a true freshman.
Saban has said several times that we need to be better in the passing game and getting the ball to the playmakers. That's the nice way of saying that Hurts needs to improve.

My concern, he hasn't improved. Thank goodness we are really good and QB is plug and play.

My comments are somewhat calibrated to account for Hurts being a true freshman - but his inability to read defenses, slow decision to pass, and inaccuracy in the 15+ yard passes are all negative indicators. Bama is winning on pure talent and athleticism. I am worried that Urban and/or Dabo, given a month to scheme, will force Bama to pass - will the talent and athleticism be adequate to win anyway? We will see. Saban obviously thinks so - he is willing to lose the other QBs on roster to play Hurts - who am I to question him? But with Bama's talent at RB and WR I just don't see the need for a running/dual threat QB. Too much risk of injury - then what? RTR

He's bad at passing. Incredible runner. Incredibly clutch. And has ice in his ceins.
I'd gladly take him at LSU

Why? It's good discussion. Jalen has flaws but right now his upside outweighs his downside and we are back in the playoffs.

I heard a guy in the Dome Saturday say, "I hate Hurts' calm, cool demeanor. I miss the days of emotion when our QB acted like a spaz after a TD."
I asked which QB he was referring to and he replied, "AJ McCarron."
I, on the other hand, like Hurts.

Lmao at some of these responses!! It's like Skip Bayless and Collin Cowherd collaborated, created several rant screennames, then decided to give their expert opinions in this thread..smh
