So Saban hosted Peyton Manning and Adam Gase last week according to the link on the fron page. Good move, both from the offensive and defensive side. The guy is doing everything he can it seems to pick up some Q's or the slightest hint to prepare and better defend the HUNH. He may not succeed, but I give him major credit for trying and not being stuck in ways.
Dont see Bama running the HUNH extensively, but atleast other teams we play will have to think about the possibility of it over the summer

What does Manning and Gase know about the HUNH ? If Saban wants somebody that knows about Denver's Offense, he should have invited Pete Carroll.

It must have been very weird for Peyton Manning to get a hospitable welcome from Bama.
It would be like Tom Brady getting a hospitable welcome from the Jets. It just doesn't seem right.

Some Bama fans still hate Payton because he led the UT band after beating Bama....

Who would be the better person to get information from: Manning or Pete Caroll?
Pete obviously knows how to stop Manning, but I'm sure Saban already knows how to look at the conundrum from a defensive perspective.
Which makes sense for him to get advice from Manning. Saban wants to design and disguise coverages to give an up-tempo OC a splitting headache.
Yet, I don't think it's the up-tempo that gives Bama their biggest problem. I think it's their over-aggressive mentality when defending the option.

from what I read about kiffin and their players' comments, they're not so much going to run HUNH as just trying to cut down on time it takes to get to the LOS.
Apparently they were getting up there with only about 10-12s for adjustments before delay of game. One could shave that down significantly and still be outside the realm of a "HUNH" offense

It would make sense if Denver ran the HUNH, but they don't. Manning is not a threat to run the ball and bama's biggest problem has been the mobile QB. My guess is LK is picking Paytons Head about running a faster tempo Offense, but nothing close to the HUNH.

Watching standard offenses these days is sorta like watching paint dry. I wish every team in the country would hurry it up a little bit.

After watching their hurry up offense in 2012 I don't think bama has a problem running it. When they want to score it seems like almost nothing can stop them

Every team in the SEC has run some hurry-up on and off for a while now. I know you have to mix up the tempo, but why not always stay in that frame of mind? Substitute when need be, but always be ready to call a play and line up.

Ole Miss runs a HUNH offense. Bama shut out Ole Miss last yer. Ergo Bama can defend a HUNH offense.

Wallace was not a big threat to beat a team with his legs alone, and OM did not have very many other weopons last year. He had a bad game and OM folded.
