So you're only relevant if you win a national title? Damn, how many people were alive the last time A&M was relevant if that's the criteria?

An estimated 2.3 Billion people were alive in 1939.

This jealousy thread still going. Even trying to reason with some of these tardish homers is like trying to argue with an autistic kid. They are stuck in their own world and don't understand logic.

Dooley Left BJ in a much more favorable scenario than what Nutt left Freeze. You can debate this until you're blue in the face, but you'd be completely wrong and just look foolish.

First off you're wrong. 2nd off UT was in a much worse position due to the decline of fulmer, the Kiffin year and his recruiting class that had a total of 3 contributors, and Dooley's total ineptness in operations and recruiting combined with a fundamental mishandling of almost every important situation by the AD.

Taking away any future recruiting violations, Nutt> Dooley. At least Nutt can keep a SEC school somewhat relevant. Did go to the Cotton Bowl two years in a row. Not saying either were good.

Whats most puzzling about this is the lack of on the field success.

Why'd you name your stadium after a suicidal American novelist?

I continue to believe that having Old Spice Nkemdiche on the roster when Lil Spice was coming thru made a HUGE impact. Getting a 5* is one thing but getting the #1 player in the country to sign has immediate and long term positive ripple effects. That was a total coup and OM is still reaping the benefits of it.

Usually you see these numbers jump up when you are successful on the field like win championships.

LSU's recruiting at a very high level, so there goes that theory.

Lets compare championships...

I appreciate your concern and confusion.

More than that, I want to thank you for proving that Ole Miss is improving and now worthy of many topics discussing our recruiting and coaching.

I remember when nobody mentioned anything about Ole Miss other than Ole Miss fans. Bama fans sure didn't give a crap about our recruiting enough to make topics on it.

Nice thread.

But 2007 was a long time ago - these croots were in elementary school then. And I think it's obvious to everyone that LSU's not going back any time soon because it can't beat Bama.

Maybe it can back into an SEC championship/playoff spot?

LSU has more players in the NFL than anyone and just had 6 players in the pro bowl. recruits notice that

why an ole miss fan bringing up any of this is what is baffling. y'all can't even figure out how to back into a championship game of any kind

A Bama guy asked how we were recruiting so well when we haven't been winning championships. I just pointed out that LSU's been recruiting well and hasn't won any championships of any kind lately. Don't know what there is to dispute here.
