Talk about "damned if you do and damned if you don't."

The OP asks "how in the hell is Ole Miss recruiting at an elite status?", and whether you blockheads are too dumb to understand this or not, beating Alabama the last two years is a huge part of what has helped us reach that elite status in recruiting. But when you ask that question and we give that as one of the reasons everyone acts like they are offended that it is even mentioned (of course, every sane Bama fan in the world would have to admit that those two victories absolutely help Ole Miss when sitting down with recruits trying to sell them on coming here).

Of course, finishing as the second highest ranked team in the SEC and playing in the Sugar Bowl and then destroying Okie State in to win the Sugar Bowl also play a huge part in helping us recruit at an elite status.

Placing 3 players in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft answers whether great players can come to Ole Miss and move into the NFL. So that has helped us with our elite recruiting.

In the end, we have all those things, as well as a great Coach (who all recruits seem to love), a beautiful campus and great college town known for its parties and beautiful women, an exciting offense and a nationally known defense (with a national brand nickname used by all of the announcers).

In the end, a better question would be "why the hell wouldn't Ole Miss now be recruiting at a national elite level?"

The simple fact that you don't recognize that the state of Louisiana has a great deal more talent then Mississippi is baffling.

Duh. That's why LSU recruits at such a high level. Not because it is an elite football team, which was premise of the OP. LSU has not been elite since 2011 and there's no reason to believe it will be elite again any time soon.

Immediate playing time is a huge factor for Ole Miss. And it was a major key in the big 2013 class.

Possibly. Problem is, you won't see another from OM in the first 3 rounds for at least 2 years. You got nobody left except for the class you are bringing in now and Swag Kelly will never go higher than 5th round if that.

Just means you have no depth to your roster.

No depth and still win games. A big factor in recruits. They can play right away and it has been shown they can be successful and win.

Trying to argue logically with an autistic person never ends well. Just put them in a room by themselves with no sharp objects until they settle down.

At least LSU has been elite before. Something that OM can't say because I'm sorry but winning the Sugar Bowl does not make you "elite", nor does beating Bama, or any other "accomplishment" you delusional OM fans believe makes a team "elite". Win a championship, hell, just win 10 or more regular season games for once....

It's because they remember to remind recruits that there isn't a Body Farm under their field - it's in the Grove....
