Now ain't that the truth. Funny that the 3 years pre-Saban Bama average recruiting class was in the 20's range. Once he arrived and lost to UL Monroe he started racking up major annual hauls of 5*s. How did that happen?

pretty substantial difference in a national championship winning and former NFL HC recruiting you and a guy that was coaching at Lambuth a few years prior. Freeze didn't have a brand name like Saban did. He also isn't coaching at Alabama

Not really. 2011 Sec Champs, 2011 National Title Appearance. 2007 National Champions. Also Louisiana is always loaded with talent and this year it is ridiculous. However, Miss is not a very loaded state. You have two four star from Miss in your class with three other three stars from the state. A total of five Miss players.

regardless of what he did in Miami, he won 2 SEC titles and a national title IN COLLEGE. Freeze does not have half the resume even now Saban had when he got to Alabama and certainly infinitely better than freeze did in 2013.

And that 2013 class was top heavy with little depth. I mean we had Spice Sr, AC was always going to Ole Miss, we were the only team that offered Laremy's brother and Treadwell was not coming until he came to the recruiting weekend. Other than that, they got Engram in that class but not much else stuck.
I guess taking a hapless team that could barely take the field do to the academic issues Nutt left behind to a bowl game after a 2 win season was just plain luck. I guess increasing win totals every year you are a HC is something to sneeze at. I guess CHF got lucky not once but twice in a row against Bama....give me a break!
