The punishment for completely wrecking football programs is not very stiff.

Why hasn't Gus hired him?

Pretty funny really. One of the supposed conditions of Gus taking the Arkansas job was that he be allowed to bring Freeze on his staff in some capacity. Gus wasn't ever gonna work here anyway, but that shite is funny.

And it also means that both Arkansas and Auburn have said "hell no" to the idea of bringing Freeze on staff.

I guess only Saban and Alabama-ites are arrogant enough to think they can get away with it.

Sarkisian fricked up as bad as Freeze did.....if Nick can rehabilitate Sark and Lane, he can rehab Freeze.

Sarkisian is with Atlanta not because of Nick's rehab, but because of his previous relationship with Quinn and Carroll.

seems like Bama could get similar offensive mind talent without that baggage.

Baggage doesn't seem to bother Saban (see Kiffin, Lane and Sarkisian, Steve). If Freeze is brought on in some role, he will have a tight leash, no doubt.

As for "similar offensive mind" who else is thought of as being as good of an offensive mind as Freeze AND would be willing to be an analyst or assistant for a year?

Yeah. We were crazy enough to think we'd get away with Kiffin too when everyone laughed about that hire. 3 SEC and 1 National championship later, everyone was talking about how crazy Saban was for firing him.

Nick giving Sark a shot and Sark showing that could stay on the wagon helped him get that job.

I'll just leave this here:

In the SEC, of coaches that faced Arkansas during the Bielema era at least 3 times, only 2 have losing records.

Les Miles and Hugh Freeze.

Bammers wants the SEC to be scared of Freeze because they lost twice to him

Sark's image was shite. Saban gave him an opportunity to clean himself up, get his head on straight, kept him busy and focused on coaching and Sark was able to stay sober. It was not "Nick's rehab", it was Nick giving the man a chance to rehab himself.

You realize that the OC position at Bama is a reclamation station for the misguided.

Maybe LSU should take note and prosper.

"Bammers" don't care if you are scared of Freeze or not. No fan should be "scared" of any team/coach. That said, you should have a legitimate level of concern about BAMA moving forward (with or without Freeze) given their historical and current position of dominance in this conference.

I am not throwing rocks, just stating facts. I would love for LSU to have the balls to do what is right for the program.

Sark would be in Atlanta if had attended AA for a year and coached HS Football.

That is my point with Freeze, he was hot and cold.

What was Sark's previous relationship with Quinn? I'll wait.

Sark had a relationship with Carroll. Quinn had a relationship with Saban. You can connect dots that way if you want, but Quinn and Sark had no real direct relationship.

It was widely talked about last year. Sark's relationship with Carroll allowed him access to the Seahawks Staff while he was the HC at Washington. Quinn was on Carroll's staff on two different occasions during the time Sark was at Washington.
