I think he was the second best coach in the SEC while he was at Ole Miss, but that was because he was at Ole Miss. The one school where I thought his talent would be wasted was at Bama, that is why I question why he decided to take the job. Freeze is good at taking inferior talent and scheming an Offense that is competitive against superior talent. He did it with motion and spreading the field. There were times where he had superior talent and his plans backfired on him, but against the good teams he always seemed to be creative with his game plans. Something that is not needed at Bama. I hope he rehabs his image because I still think he would be the 2nd best Coach in the SEC.

Then imagine what he could do when given superior talent against inferior talent.

I wish LSU had the balls to hire him as OC. Yeah he cheated and banged some hookers but the only difference between him and many other coaches is that he got caught. As an LSU fan I sure as hell have heard "everyone deserves a second chance" said a lot over the past year.

I've got nothing for Hugh. I wish his fake arse would fall off the face of the earth.

And I'll be sorely disappointed in Nick if he hired him.

He is coming in as analyst like Sarkisian not getting the OC job.

That goes for me too, they're on the same level as identity thieves and various other scammers.

I'd be surprised if they hired him. And it almost certainly won't be as an offensive coordinator.

He has a show cause, and the SEC teams have been warned off of hiring him by the SEC commissioner.

Alabama would be foolish to take a chance on him. Especially considering we all know they frickin cheat to begin with. If anything happened while he was in their employ they would get HAMMERED for it.

What job?

ETA: I see now - rumors he is joining as an analyst. Missed that. Seems weird. A lot of baggage and it seems like Bama could get similar offensive mind talent without that baggage.

My goodness, I can't imagine what kind of tent revival Hugh will conduct on the quad when he realizes Bama has a very religiously talented QB who was speaking in tongues during the championship game.

Gus should have, their Offenses are similar and they both have the same personality. He just seems polar opposite of Saban.

I think it would have been a better hire if he was the OC. He would at least show his talent. I just picture him sitting in a chair against the wall, while everyone else is at the Saban table.

Freeze is just going to be observing analyzing film, and watching practices...taking notes and coming up with ideas and observations to enhance the offense.

Sarkisian fricked up as bad as Freeze did.....if Nick can rehabilitate Sark and Lane, he can rehab Freeze.

None of the other analysts just sit in a chair against the wall during staff meetings. Why would Freeze act differently than all of the other analysts and support staff?
