Alright Ole Miss fans, take a step back over to reality for one second here. You guys are acting like Ole Miss is some sort of destination job that he would never leave from. But you are just fooling yourselves if you think that if Freeze is successful at Ole Miss, he wouldn't jump at the chance if a school with more prestige and resources comes calling. Again, you guys need to accept the reality that is the Ole Miss football program. I might've been trolling a little (or maybe a lot), but what I've said is based in reality, and you guys know it. Know your role in the college football world.

Just found out we have to go to dinner with my mother in law and her husband tonight...I'm going to have to miss a bunch of the OM/Arkansas game because of it.. I'll get away from the computer for a bit while I come to terms with it.

freeze has to use gimmicks like twitter, crying with recruits, offering scholarships to non-rated older brothers to potential 5-star recruits, etc... alabama and saban don't need tricks to be successful.

At some point, the rubber meets the road... and all the bullsh*t gets moved to the side, and a coach is judged on what happens on the field... it remains to be seen if freeze is anything more than a good recruiter with a twitter account.

I was thinking maybe, BIG maybe, if Freeze actually has the coaching to back his recruiting and Smart takes over for Richt, he could very well take the throne.

Freeze is at his dream job already and I know that to be true.

If Alabama wanted Hugh Freeze after Saban retired, they'd could have him. The Ole Miss job is a high school job compared to Alabama. Ole Miss will NEVER win a National Title.

what the hell do you base this on?

If Freeze does turn out to be a decent HC and gets a SECW title within the next 5 years (I know...big if considering we are talking about Ole Miss), surely he will get tired of coaching teams in front of a crowd in a stadium with a seating capacity that is basically the size of a high school stadium (I mean, there are Texas high schools with stadiums the size of Ole Miss'). He'll eventually feel the need to prove his worth at a real school, no matter what ties he may have in the Ole Miss/Memphis area.

I am now more dumb thanks to this post.

While this may be true they won't have too. Freeze dream job is Ole Miss. He won't leave until he retires or is fired.

I think he proved last year he is a good coach. It's not like Ole Miss had a bunch of talent and he turned them around.
