All of these “cities” are close to Tuscaloosa. So as I stated earlier, Tuscaloosa is one big shithole filled with the most entitled thugs around.

You seem to get dumber with each post. So if you're CLOSE to a place, then you ARE that place! The Hamptons are 95 miles from New York City...must be a shite hole, too.

You seem to be reacting more and more emotionally with each post. Seems as though I’ve struck a nerve.
I have never said that Baton Rouge is without any issue. So I’m not entirely sure what you’re arguing against. No city is without their issues. But here’s the thing, there is at least something in Baton Rouge other than college football.
What’s there to do in Tuscaloosa? Honestly, outside of Alabama football what is there to do? Tuscaloosa is a small town plagued with ineptitude and thuggery, and has nothing whatsoever worth while, but it has a good college football team. So that apparently makes it good?
Listen, if you are comfortable with living in or around Tuscaloosa then good for you. I for one expect more from life than college football and thuggery..

I don't think you know how this works.

You're all over the board here, bozo. Are we talking about there being nothing to do in Tuscaloosa, or that the place is a dangerous "shite hole" with nothing but thugs?
I grew up in Tuscaloosa and went to UA. For me, there was plenty to do, and when I wanted a change of scenery there were plenty of convenient alternatives. The vast majority of the students attending/attended will tell you as much.
Now if you're referring to the "shite hole, thug" part, then you're obviously a ridiculously stupid hypocrite to talk down a place when your school town in 22nd in the nation in murders per capita.
The bottom line to all this is that you're probably a kid...and a rather stupid one at that.

I agree because Auburn would have been an easier win.

I am not trying to bash LSU, because every team winning big is paying players. But is it is silly acting like he is the only one on LSU getting paid. Wade said him self they had made easier deals with players just as good or better than Smart. He just didn't name any other names during that call.

Hence my "curiosity" about the big man's absence against Vandy.

several of them got paid. Smart isn't responsible for being exposed. Between the bagman and Wade.

I'm certain you don't know how a vacated win works. The NCAA could give LSU the death penalty for a decade, but that loss will stay on Kentucky's record forever.

Do other teams get added wins?

No, but they do keep the losses. While it’s funny for every team that lost to, for instance, that 2013 Louisville national title team to say that the game didn’t happen, it did. The NCAA upholds the loss on the losers’ record, but not the win on the winners’ record when a game is vacated.

Swing and a miss for you, just like your team at home against LSU.

These kids don't care about the schools. Their AAU teams mean more to them. College has been forced upon them, so they go wherever they get the best offer.

I think you nailed it right there. A huge proportion of college athletes have absolutely no business in college. Their ACT/SAT scores are low, they have no interest in real education, and all this is made evident by their inability to speak even rudimentary English. But, I'm not bashing them. They have talent that can make them millions and there's no reason they should even have to play NCAA ball.

Let the ones that are extremely talented with athleticism go straight to the pros where they ought to be. This "one and done" bullshite kills college programs. Not to mention, if the NCAA allows the "one and done" scholarships it only shows that the NCAA is about the money and that they could give a tinker's damn about whether athleticism benefits a college student.

The NCAA is about lining their own pockets at the expense of athletes in their late teens and early twenties - youngsters who are too naive to understand how they are being played by a corrupt system.

Vecchio Cane - you speak great truth. (I also think I might know some of your relatives if they live on the MS Gulf Coast. Dion comes to mind if that means anything.)

I feel bad about that original post. It's still true but I forgot about these LSU players dealing with Wayde Sims tragedy. None of them will ever forget that and I didn't mean to insinuate that they would. Looking back on this time in their lives, the games on the court will be the last and least of their memories or cares

You don't think college players know that star players are being paid? We knew that in school way back when I attended. Everyone knows.

It must suck having to live in a state known to the rest of us as "Misery." It's even more amazing that you can actually have pride in such a state. Missouri has produced four things that are noteworthy:
1) Mark Twain
2) Rush Limbaugh
3) John Goodman
4) New Madrid Fault

The fourth entry was simply destructive. The first three are all good people. The first three also did NOT attend Mizzou despite the fact they were raised in the state. Yes, there are indeed intelligent folks from Missouri, but they also have enough sense to escape that hell-hole of a state at the first available opportunity.

Never said Louisiana was the greatest state.
But Louisiana is far greater than Alabama. Alabama talking shite about any other state is about like a person who drives a Prius talking shite about anyone else’s car. It just doesn’t work.

Your post is very truthful, but youngsters being naive to the the fact that their getting played is a stretch. The parents, legal guardians, AAU coaches, HS coaches are all part of the corrupt system and every one of them are compliant as long as the $$ flows.

The actual youngsters are nothing more than a pawn in the game, the ADULTS are 100% participants as long as they're getting paid. Momma wants a pie of the pie, AAU coach wants a pied of the pie, the runner has to get a big enough piece or he gets pissed, and a program can't tilt the offer too much towards the player & momma or they risk losing out on the recruit.
