Nico isn't a statue but he isn't a runner and can't throw on the run when he does get outside the pocket.

A mobile qb will run the RPO on oU until they quit.

They're very suseptible to the vertical passing game too. If Tenner had gotten pushed even a little early on, Heupel would've opened it up and Nico would've dropped dimes all over that secondary. You can't play single high safety or cover zero on Tenner. Nobody can outside uga. And even that's in doubt at this point.

And as soon as you drop back to cover 2, the RPO opens up. Nico can't run the RPO. It isn't his game. But Milroe can. Arch can. Hell... Peyton Thorne might be able to RPO the barn into an upset.

Tennessee scored 3 points in the first quarter. If we go back in time, last week you were probably jawing about how Tennessee would hang 4 touchdowns by halftime.

Go look, I repeatedly stated all offseason that this was an L by the pundits. Penalties stopped the Vols more than OU did in the 1st half. And even Heupel said they throttled the playcalling down.

The deep ball was there all night, OU was gassed by the half and between the shitty field, an injury on the Oline and the fact OU could do nothing there was no reason to embarrass OU.

But good luck making a bowl game this year.

you sound so stupid when you say stuff like this ! You are not admitting he fumbled two times under serious pressure …. The real reason you may not have thrown is because you couldn’t without turning it over …. Why risk it when OUs offense was so bad …. See your getting confused Josh is a lot smarter than you are because if he had kept dropping back we probably would have made him fumble two more times . If it was open all night then why did u only get one deep ball all night …. Please answer me that question !

Not defense mode. Just calling out nonsense when I see it.

The fact is OU lost to a great Tennessee team. The made up narrative that this was some humiliating defeat is ridiculous.

You’ll see soon enough. Either your future loss to OU or Georgia. If you lose to OU, which let’s be real, anybody can win that game any given year, this forum will say how you’re soft and not an elite sec team (ridiculous). Or, you beat OU and lose to a really good Georgia team the week after your biggest rivalry game (happens), they’ll come back on this forum and say the same thing (again, ridiculous).

Just trying to cut through the narrative and keep people honest as to what happened Saturday.

I can tell you if we don’t make a bowl game your not making the playoffs it doesn’t work thag way … you won by 10 points your not that much better facts. If we had any life on offense we probably win .

So, you’re blaming the field (both teams played on it, btw), penalties, and an injury (everyone has injuries)? I’m DONE hahaha.

Not sure why I’d expect a more intelligent argument. Suppose I gave you too much credit.

Yeah, they pivoted to conservative playing, because again, your qb turned it over twice. Not out of some weird sense of mercy in a two score game.

The delusion is incredible. But hey, the silver lining is we will quickly surpass you on the hierarchy. Probably by next year, honestly.

Got it back on the next play so it didn’t effect the game.

OUs QB had 3 turnovers. The field was shite and a young QB was playing loose with the ball.

Medium to long passing game if OL can provide QB protection. Again kudos to OU defense. But if we had a healthy line and maximum protection, Nico could have carved it up. He hit some nice passes anyway, but he could have hit 2 or 3 times as many under normal circumstances.

Not sure why we can’t just tip our cap to what they actually did do, which was play a good game, and not live in the world of hypotheticals.

If OU had two more healthy linemen, they may have had an additional touchdown. But who knows?

Both have excellent defenses, that was very apparent.

Nah, Tennessee is good, Oklahoma sucks. Heard all week about the players you guys were getting back on the line.

Not taking anything away from OU at all, I think they have a stout D, but it was to their advantage that our starting left tackle was out that game & our right tackle was out part of the game. How to attack them, I'm not a guru on the matter but I say for sure pass the ball more than we did.

I was at a friend's watching that game. I remember early on going for it on 4th instead of kicking a fg and I said this might be the only chance we get to score points....

I was sad just like I am now lol

That was funny.

On a serious note, I do wish there was a place here to talk football without all the trolling, flaming, etc.
