Ok, I'll bite and chime in:

Sept. 1 vs. Clemson (Atlanta) Toss up/Win Atlanta will be pretty close to a home game for us and I think the crowd will show it.
Sept. 8 at Mississippi State Win They are still MSU and right now we own them.
Sept. 15 ULM Win
Sept. 22 LSU Toss up/Loss. If we are 3-0 and playing solid going in we have a chance. If we lose one of the first 3 we get handled again.
Oct. 6 ARKANSAS Loss Until we prove we can beat Petrino, we are still Auburn to them.
Oct. 13 at Ole Miss Win
Oct. 20 at Vanderbilt Win
Oct. 27 TEXAS A&M Win Home game for us.
Nov. 3 NEW MEXICO STATE (HC) Win
Nov. 10 GEORGIA Toss up/loss Until we prove we can beat UGA I will tend to say UGA but being at home and deep into the season, injuries and our offensive line will be the key to this game.
Nov. 17 ALABAMA A&M Win
Nov. 24 at Alabama Toss up/Loss We have played well in BDS and will again. Like the UGA game, injuries and offensive line will be key for us.

I would say 8 or 9 wins regular season and more than likely a 4th place finish in the west. That said, if you have 3 top ten teams ahead of you in your division then 4th isn't awful.

As for the dummies saying that Spurrier is a better coach than Chizik right now. WTF? How would you say that considering we drummed them on a neutral site in the SECCG and beat them two years in a row.

Coaches that are better than Chizik in the SEC:
1. Saban
2. Miles, though he inherited a very talented team and has been able to maintain that talent. He has tended to underachieve for his talent levels.
3. Petrino. We haven't beaten him and he took a mediocre team and made them an offensive machine. No matter what your personal feelings are, he is good.

Richt is arguable but with the constant talent levels he has, he underachieves in a down division.

Spurrier isn't arguable. He won a beaten down eastern division and then got drummed in the championship game. If you count his overall body of work since 90 then yeah, he is better over 20 years.

I honestly think that Chizik is a top ten national coach. He took a broken team with 70 something players and won 8 his first year, won a BCS championship his second year despite a lot of controversy and won 8 games his third year after losing 30 something players and returning only 3 or 4 starters. What he has managed to do at Auburn has been terrific considering what he had to work with and then mentality of a team that he inherited and the division he is playing in.

and he drummed us two other years. 1-3 with two beatings isn't good.

I really don't see the defense improving until the stacks gets his players in, but maybe that's the sceptic in me. Even new starters in the SEC should perform better than Auburn's D has the past 3 years. I think it will take time to undo that.

Yeah, new coaches who bring in new systems can never EVER turn things around in a year.

I remember way back in 2009, when Auburn had a entirely new coaching staff, how much we struggled to be better than the 2008 team.

Oh... wait.

I don't see Auburn beating UA, Georgia, LSU or Arky. I don't mean to be a dick but someone explain how KF is going to lead Auburn to victory against one of those teams.

Didn't a team with a crappy QB beat Bama in Tuscaloosa last November?

Or is my memory failing me?

They also had one of the better defenses of the last five years on the field.

Doin' OK down at La Tech.

Just to give you a clue, 2008 at Auburn wasn't a Tony Franklin problem... it was a Tuberville/BBQ Boyz problem. If Tuberville hadn't stood back and allowed his BBQ Boy assistants to frick Tony Franklin EVERY DAMN STEP OF THE WAY, 2008 may have been different and Tommy Tuberville may not have been sentenced to Hell in West Texas.

Dude, I know. I was just poking at you for fun. I listened to an interview with Franklin shorty after he left and he pretty much said "they didn't give me a chance."

Wins:
ULM
Ole Miss
NM State
Bama A&M

Losses:
LSU
UGA
Bama

Toss Ups:
Clemson (Favor AU)
MS ST (AU)
Arky (Arky)
Texas A&M (AU)
Vanderbilt (Vandy)

7-5. Best case 9-3, but I dont see win a over Arky . Worst case 5-7 with losses to 6 ranked SEC schools

I'm going to go with 7 wins in the regular season. I'm not sure how the new coordinators will do. The QB play is a mystery as well. They're similar to the Aggies in my opinion, they have talent but a great deal of uncertainty based on coaches and QB.

I don't see Auburn beating the big 3 in the west right now. Arkansas will be tough with Wilson, LSU is loaded, and Bama is also loaded and playing in BDS.

I think they lose 2 of 4 against Clemson, UGA, MSU, and the Aggies. The only road game is at MSU so I could see them winning 3 out of 4 but I would still bet on 2 of 4 if I had to put money down.

9 wins would be a great year with that schedule. 8 wins would be solid. 7 wins with a Bowl victory wouldn't be a failure in my opinion.

I realize Auburn returns a lot of starters but their average margin of defeat was almost 28 points last year. I still think the gap between them and the elite teams will be pretty wide even if they're more competitive.

Repeat of last year. Just not blown out by as big margins by the ones they'll be dogs in. 9 wins at best, with a bowl game. Probably 8 wins total.

More experienced on the lines, but returning likely QB was 5 of 12 with 2 INT's last year, new OC and new DC. Alot of question marks. They'll have to prove they can throw the ball. I think teams will stack the box to start out and double-up on Blake, they'll need another reciever to step up to the plate and a QB that can get him the ball, as of now, they have noone proven to do so.

I love these threads. The 4-8 predictions from last season were great.

Auburn was 7-5 in the regular season and almost lost to Utah State and USCe. It wasn't that far from being a 5-7 season. Even the Miss State game was pretty close with State gaining 150 more yards.

Auburn got much better as the season progressed but honestly 4-8 wasn't really laughable when looking back. 5 losses were blowouts and they were able to win all of the close ones. Auburn did a really good job pulling out some close ones so it isn't a knock on them. The difference between 10 wins and 6 wins can sometimes be just a few points or a few big plays either way.

Oh now I get it, you think I was trolling Bama fans, I see. I can see how picking them 4th in the West could be misconstrued as a troll attempt but that's really where I think they'll end up.

I think 3rd in the West, Auburn will likely take down one of the top 3 west teams next year and has a strong chance to knock off UGA. The weakness against UGA and Ark has been the secondary and I think you'll finally see that part of the game turn around due to talent and experience, plus the coaching changes are going to be for the better. The defense as a whole will finally be a solid product.
