I just don't see Alabama being able to sustain long drives with Hurts at QB.

On long blind passes that miraculously hit Ridley somehow.

Hmm... so how did Syracuse do it?

I think Bama has a more unstoppable offense than Syracuse does.

That is all that needs to be said. We have a true dual-threat guy on the bench but Jalen is a single-threat quarterback and good defenses eat his lunch every time. A&M, FSU and MSU made him look terrible too. He threw for like 80 yards against the 'noles but nobody saw it as a red flag because we won the game.

Syracuse has a qb that can throw. Lets be honest though, Clemson was probably sleepwalking that entire game. I'm sure they'll be locked in for this Sugar Bowl.

If Bama uses its stable of 5 star running backs they will move the ball.. the question is will they commit to the run. Last year when Bo went down they went away from it despite having Harris ready to go. They to make Clemson stack the box and throw over the top to single man coverage on Ridley.. but if Dabol will do it is the question.. for some strange NFL reason 2nd and 5 is a throwing down for him. He needs to adjust to Hurts and realize we don’t have Tom back there

Hurts didn't have great stats against Clemson last year, but he actually played pretty well. He accounted for 200+ yards and 2 TDs with zero turnovers. He scored the would-be winning touchdown (Alabama's last possession). He led four scoring drives of 50+ yards.

I'm honestly not sure how you arrived at the conclusion you did. I also do not get the Hurts hate from Alabama fans.

SU won 4 games ... Cent Conn State, Central Mich, Pitt and CU.

Clemson should have been able to beat SU with just about anyone playing QB.

It was a weird game with several uncharacteristic mistakes by Clemson. A missed tackle led to Syracuse's first TD. Blown coverage led to their second. Clemson missed two chip-shot FGs. Clemson lost the game by 3 pts. Without those mistakes, they win by 17.

Point is the game was a fluke. Don't expect that Clemson team to walk out of the tunnel vs. Alabama. I think they'll be a little more focused.
