How many of those who left were all conference players versus how many who came in were all conference this year.

That'd be a better evaluation imho

Well enough to keep beating A&M on a regular basis.

Know a 3 star recruit who was really a five star recruit; just saying.

Going with star ratings, which are often way off base, instead of looking at their play on the field and/or lack of good character. Interesting take, friend.

Speaking of used cars…the qb of the greatest team in college football history (he also plays today) he would’ve been considered a used car. That worked out ok for us, so we will take it

Smith didn’t transfer out; and a lot of sites are still thinking that Landon Jackson is some stud. The kid sucks, plain and simple. He’s Injury prone and slow as shite and uncoordinated. Losing him hurt absolutely nothing bc he was already just a glorified water boy. Ricks and McGlothern are truly the only 2 that really “sting” to lose. All the others, are a dime a dozen and easy to find a replacement with equal or better talent. This post shows a complete lack of research and understanding and shows that you just repeat whatever you read, without truly researching anything.
Think about all the talking heads and websites last year that said losing Arik Gilbert was going to be detrimental and that he would go on to shine and be a star where ever he enrolled…. Anyone who just read a sports website or listened to a podcast would repeat this and dawg lsu for it; but those who did their research and actually knew about college football, knew he had problems and would most likely end up being a bust.

Keep in mind Ricks quit halfway through the season and we were better without him.

I’m not concerned at all about the outbound transfers. Dwight is the most notable but he thought he was untouchable because of his play on the field and our depth. An example was made out of him by Kelly which is exactly what LSU needs.

Good riddance to every single one.

QB is our only question as far as transfers are concerned IMO.

While this is a very true and good point, Imo it still stings to lose him. Just based off of talent alone, it’s tough to lose that amount of talent no matter what. And very tough to find a replacement with that much talent and potential.

See to me, this is the least of our worries. I have faith in Brennan, if he can just fricking stay healthy. And if he does experience his patented season ending injury, I really like the potential of Nussmeir (however you spell it)…
Tbh imo, Max deciding on his own to enter the portal was a blessing in disguise. He’s no longer taking valuable snaps from the qb’s that actually need the snaps… it would have really been amazing and a huge blessing if we could have had him enter the portal, but still kept his brothers commitment. The only reason I wanted him around next year was because I really liked what I saw in his brother. His brother will be a stud, no doubt. And truthfully, thats the biggest blow and thing that stings the most about the whole Max situation.

So scared they had to go and offer all that money for the QB that beat them lol. That’s desperation.

This right here, they are both good. Especially if McGlothern jumps another level. And like the other poster said, losing Max’s brother hurt more than losing Max….

Lol same poster, different comment.

But yeah I get what you’re saying and agree. I honestly, really liked McGlothern and I think it sucks we lost him. Even if he did have attitude problems, I’m sure over time that could have been fixed and with more maturity and playing time that would’ve become a non issue.
He was replacing a stud 5* and many expected him to do a terrible job, but he came in and showed out and did awesome. Most kids that age would’ve developed a chip on their shoulder after that… so I think it really sucks we lost him.

On a side note though, those 2 dude from Arkansas will end up being hidden gems imo. Especially the Foucha dude, he’s going to be special. And Brooks is right up there with him, these 2 dudes are going to make a name for themselves at DBU, just wait and see….
