How was this years LSU/Ole Miss game comparable to 2007 LSU/Alabama

Saban inherited a program that was on probation and couldn’t assemble a $50 million team before the start of the season.
BtwI was at the 2007 Alabama game, Julio Jones was standing next to me at the time. Didn’t want to bother him, because he was just a high school kid and who knows if he would pan out. lol as a Falcons fan, glad he did.

It’ll be very comparable in a few years, whenever LSU is winning the title every other year. Ole Miss may have won the first battle, but the war, and new world order will be won by LSU.

It’s not. The more you closely examine and compare, it’s not similar at all. The funniest is how LSU is convinced Lane is Saban. He is the furthest thing from Nick Saban in every way possible. Saban didn’t even like having the guy around for long and got rid of him first chance he could before a title game. Also funny because Saban loved having Golding around in comparison.

It’s not comparable, even in down years for LSU and Bama, they are always in the talks of making runs for championships. Add Texas to the list now and the rest of the programs are second tier. That’s just the gods honest truth. The others may not like it but it is what it is.
