Arkansas doesn't have as many deep pockets as other programs in the SEC that reside in bigger states.
What little they have is used in basketball and baseball because they see it as better use of the money spent.
They could use more money in football, the recruiting would be slightly better but Arkansas would be another Ole Miss falling short of making a playoff appearance.
Then eventually the NIL collective will dry up after another 8-4 season and the current players will just use the portal to go to more prestigious football programs that never had issues with money long before NIL ever existed.

So this is obviously a bait thread, but it's an opportunity for me to trot out one of my favorite interesting facts.
We're actually the 18th most valuable athletic department in the nation. We're ahead of Ole Miss, State, Cocks, Missouri, Kentucky and even Auburn. I guess it's not the the size of tFlagship but the stacks of the 'Backs.

You get more watchers in CFzb, but I would think UK gets the most Basketball views. Them, UNC, Duke, Kansaa, Uconn probably get good ratings in CBB.

Georgia has 1 more major sport national championship since Arkansas was added to the SEC in 1991-92. Georgia finally got on the board with their 2021 football title, nearly 30 years after Arkansas joined the league.
So if we calculated the seasons by major sport national titles between Arkansas and Georgia, there really is not much of a difference over the course of 33 seasons. Arkansas wins at a .03 clip and Georgia at a .06 rate in major sport national titles.

When we compare athletic departments as a whole, Arkansas has won 39 team athletic National Titles since 1991-92. Georgia has won 28.
Over 33 seasons, Arkansas on average will win 1.18 National Championships as an SEC Member, while Georgia will win 0.85 National Championships per season.

I can’t even take you seriously when you say UGA doesn’t have a main SEC rival. Florida is our main SEC rival as almost our entire fanbase believes that they are a bigger rival than Tech. Furthermore, there is a significant portion of Florida’s fanbase that considers us their main rival, even over FSU. Furthermore, we also have another significant rivalry with Auburn. The rivalries we have with Florida and Auburn are much more significant than the “rivalries” Arkansas has with Texas, LSU, and Missouri.
Winning one football natty is the equivalent of winning 5 basketball nattys. Football is by far the most important sport. Arkansas has never finished ranked number 1 in the AP poll and never will. You will never know the thrill of knowing that your football team is the greatest in the land. I don’t care how many softball nattys you win, it’s just not the same.
Northeast Arkansas is objectively a hellhole. If you don’t realize that then I feel sorry for you.

And still better than anything Georgia puts on the field. With the exception of football, most all Arkansas men and women’s teams are better than anything Georgia has.

Jerry gives plenty of money but I'm sure like anyone else is getting tired of it being flushed down the toilet.
The Waltons give zero and are more interested in pro sports.
The only way Arkansas can be a major player in the college football NIL collectives is to bring the Waltons on board.

Jerry has given alot to facilities and such, but he has another team that has players who he is forking out a ridiculous amount of money to. Parsons is holding out on him now.
I’m sure even he has a limit on how much he can spend.
The Waltons are more into education and artistic culture than sports. But they do give some money through sponsorships and such.
