Alabama Football would never.

They would. They all would, but he was pretty well known for mastering it, which is a hit on Saban for not anticipating and adjusting.

Practically the same roster Clemson had in 2019. What happened to them?

Well the entire defense left. What’d lsu look like in 2020, trash, they looked like trash

You people will never get it. Saban won because he had the decked stacked down there at his little Alabama gig. But when sheer horses couldn't get it done, his coaching was never enough.

Well you should know. Texas has always had the deck stacked and failed every year but one (2005)

Alabama has won at least one NC every decade since the 1920's (except the 50's and 80's) and some of the worse coaches at Alabama led to the the next hire being top shelf (Coaches Bryant and Saban)

If this is true, why did other coaches not stack the deck?

If you're asserting Saban was above average at best -- which you undoubtedly are, then why did other coaches who were above average not do the same thing?

Because Saban and the NCAA president Mark Emmert were buddies since the LSU days where Mark was the chancellor. Helps to have the NCAA pres. in your back pocket. The REC could do what it wanted in recruiting.

They literally kept all these studs and were blown out by LSU.

- Trevor Lawrence, running back Travis Etienne, wide receivers Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross, and defensive stars like Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, and A.J. Terrell

The following players you listed were literally drafted by the NFL April 25-27, 2019. They were not on the 2019 Clemson team.

Clelin Ferrell - 1st round (4)
Christian Wilkins - 1st round (13)
Dexter Lawrence - 1st round (17)

All off the defensive line. No one just replaces three top twenty draft picks at one position group.

Maybe you need to look at the 2018 and 2019 Clemson rosters before you comment more?

Brent Vene was the reason. Do not know if he did or did not sign steal

He did a great job with film study and noticing how quickly Tua would get to first read. Clemson gave one look pre-snap and were able to bail into a different set at the snap.

So they might show cover 2 pre snap and be in zero at snap. Or show cover 3 pre-snap and shift to quarters at snap.

Bottom line: Venables earned his payday that night.

What happened in that natty? Just a freak show performance from clemson or something deeper? And is this the best team to not win it all?

Freak show from the QB. Just one of those days.

My bad. The 2019 Clemson team (defending National Champions) only had:
- Isaiah Simmons
- Tee Higgins
- Tanner Muse
- John Simpson
- Tremayne Anchrum
- Trevor Lawrence
- Travis Etienne
- Jackson Carman
- Amari Rodgers
- Cornell Powell

all of whom were drafted by the NFL…and were blasted by LSU.

The idea that Alabama was vastly more talented is a fallacy.

Now do every year that Saban didn’t win

What was his record at LSU?

He’s a terrible in game coach also
