No wonder their QBs are Heisman candidates every year.

Maybe to get some more exposure in Louisiana for future recruiting?

Yeah because playing Tulane in their house is gonna make LA recruits go to Oklahoma

"Bro look at us beat the brakes off tulane. Dont you want to play here?"

"No, no. 2019 was just a hiccup!"

It could be in the damn Taj Mahal. You don’t stoop to playing at Tulane if you’re a blue blood. That would be like losing to Houston.

Nothing sells recruits on a future destination like playing road games against AAC schools

OU does a 2 for 1 series with a lot of smaller teams.

We hosted Tulane in 2017 and we host them again in 2024.

Thanks to 2019, you can put any thoughts of that to rest.

Dude. It’s TULANE. If you’re going to be in the SEC you don’t play at shite schools unless it’s in you’re own state and you’re trying to spread the money within your state. Like when y’all play Oklahoma state

In fairness, lots of OU games are at 11 am on FS1 so they need to resort to antiquated tactics like this to “get exposure”

I remember Texas playing at Tulane a few years back. And Texas A&M played at (and lost to) ULL back in the late 90's.

This might be one of the reasons they want out of the Big 12; a premier team should have the leverage to never schedule a road game against a G5 team.

Im not defending it just telling you how it happened.

We did the same thing with Tulsa, Army, and a few others over the years.

The AD's theory is why pay a smaller school when you can do a 2 for 1.

Always acceptable. That’s a destination game.

That’s not al that great of a deal. Pay a team one to 2 million a year or give up an entire home game.

LSU plays the murderer's row of Central Michgan, McNeese St and LA-Monroe this year. Are those the teams that SEC giants play? Just from memory, Troy, Citadel and VMI et al seem to be favorite cupcakes for some SEC teams. The SEC does have a deserved rep of playing an awful lot of glorified scrimmages.
