This is only one military veterans organization. I found a dozen more on the same Google search with the same message. There is a measure of disrespect going on here, but it's definitely not on Colin Kaepernick's part.

"An open letter from American military veterans in support of Colin Kaepernick
There are veterans who not only agree with Kaepernick’s right to protest, but also with how he did it"

(US Army veteran Richard Allen) Smith said that people burning the quarterback’s jersey “with the troops and veterans being the reason seemed ridiculous.” Being used wasn’t a new feeling. Smith said politicians and corporations often use the military and its servicemen and women for promotion. That leaves some veterans, like Smith, feeling like props for people who haven’t made the sacrifice, but want to cloak themselves in their credibility.

As for your question concerning two separate anthems, why is it so hard for some people to understand that black people don't want a separate anthem or a separate flag. They are simply looking for equal treatment under the same flag you claim to respect. If you don't know why Kaepernick was kneeling, then you haven't been paying attention.

I've been a member here for a while. I just decided it was time for some participation.

Not the point! Drew Brees were ask to kneel and he rejected it and some teammates would not protect him and/or sit out. That is how far Blacks are doing! Forcing to follow their way(s).

Dude why are you dreaming up these crazy arse scenarios and then dreaming up even crazier responses, no one is going to risk a precious arse NFL Career over a disagreement with Brees over the Anthem, TBH no one is gonna disagree with Brees over things affecting the Game, he's the key to them winning

Those guys in the NFL really want to win

They say that the NCAA is also in talks with Antifa/Anarchists and David Byrne of the Talking Heads In order for “burning down the house” to be added as the 3rd anthem to be played in honor of Antifa/Anarchists.

Do you feel the same way about an NHL Game where the Canadian Anthem is played before the Natl Anthem when we play Teams from Canada, same for the NBA with the Raptors?

SO... black people would have an anthem for their own country/people? If that's the case and they are not part of the US, why not just go full segregation again? As long as you need a color in front of any phrase, racism will be alive and thriving.

You can't be serious with this.

The Canadian national anthem is played to honor an entire nation of people. This black national anthem is only being played to represent one segment of a nation. That segment of the USA is supposedly fighting for equality and against segregation which I agree with 100%. Playing a black national anthem goes against everything that black people are striving to achieve. It's divisive, not unifying.

Forcing someone, threatening their job, if they don't do things the way you want them to?

Sounds familiar...

This country will be segregated again soon over extremist from both sides who have hate in their hearts.

Only 1 side had HATE in their Hearts, don't believe me, check out American History since 1619

Asking for equality isn't asking for preferential treatment, nor is it an example of hate in your heart

If one side had NO HATE in their Hearts, confederate names would never had been put on military bases or plastered throughout the Deep South in defiance of various court orders

If one side had NO HATE in their Heart, then people would have only needed to ask 1 time to get statues taken down that never should've been put up in the first place

If one side had NO HATE in their Hearts then confederate Flags would never have been incorporated into any state Flag, they would have simply found a Flag that represented all the first time around

I think your issue is that America allowed extremist on one side a ton of leeway in the hate department and allowed them to masquerade that hate as "muh heritage" or American Values, had the extremism on one side been controlled a long time ago, then the other side would have never needed to fight for equality

I agree with the message, not the action. I'll stand beside him to help him get that message out... but if anyone wants me to kneel with them during the National Anthem I'll be asking them to say Amen with me when we get up.

Just maybe this arose after CENTURIES OF SLAVERY, then the US Supreme Court ruled that Separate but equal was the LAW OF THE LAND, and then whites in America proceeded to ignore YET ANOTHER LAW put on the books to create some semblance of fairness in America

After 400 years of the majority group ingnoring and violating every Law ever put on the Books to have a more fair Society for all Americans, now you want to complain about a Black National Anthem created at a time when Blacks were segregated and NOT treated close to equal

Do folks like you ever look at American History and then look at the "racial ledger" in this Country before they hit the "submit button"?

They are merely singing the Black Anthem to make others aware that maybe America isn't living up to all her lofty ideals when it comes to all ethnicities here in America, there is no intent to be divisive in any way
