As the HC you can't be a Buddy to those players. I do think Mark is a good coach.

Is Kirby a players' coach? He seems to be that way to me.

While it is yet to be determined exactly how good of a HC He will turn out to be, Bama like talent in one of the worst divisions in College football will allow him to absolutely destroy the SEC EAST.

I see them as being the Ohio State of the south but with a much better human being as head coach.

Kirby will win at least 1 in the next 5 years. I could see a Bama/Georgia rivalry forming.

It’s pretty astonishing that it isn’t a rivalry now, especially considering the period that Alabama and Auburn didn’t play (40 years?). Supposedly Bear Bryant and Wallace Butts had a gentleman’s agreement that the two would avoid one another as often as possible? Apparently this extended into the Dooley era. It seems like as natural a rivalry as Auburn and UGA or UGA and Florida. What’s even more crazy is how seldom UGA and Tennessee played prior to conference expansion. I bet prior to expansion we played Clemson more often than we played Tennessee. With the second conference expansion the only way for UGA and Bama to become a rivalry is in the post season. Bama and Florida kind of did that for a while but it’ll never be a rivalry like UGA and Auburn or Florida simply because it’s too long between meetings outside of the post season.

I agree. UT and UF ain’t going to be bad forever, South Carolina is a comer and even Mizzoo is able to figure in it every once in a while. What’s a shame is the years when none of this was so and we didn’t dominate the east.

There’s little doubt UGA is on the uptick. Time will tell if it’s sustainable but right now the future looks bright for the Dawgs. IF this year is a repeat of last year....and the schedule is easier on paper this year....then expectations will be SKY HIGH. I get the feeling from dog fans that winning the East is the bar this year....based as much on UT and UF still not being back fully as some serious loss of talent on both sides. I don’t see a lot of un- realistic expectations other than winning the east and that’s something UGA OUGHT to be in the hunt for at least 80% of the time.

Kirby Smart led defenses allow only 7.78 PPG to Dan Mullen led offenses.

What had Kirby done in his first two seasons outside of out recruiting your god and taking him to overtime with an inferior team would lead you to believe this stupidity?

And yet you got beat by a bunch of freshmen.

What I'm trying to say here baws, is don't get all butt-hurt when Kirby doesn't even make the SEC Championship game.

No, it isn't. You asked when we were going to fire him, not when we would get butt-hurt. that's two totally different things. I would imagine we will react very similar to the way Alabama fans acted in 2010. similar situations and all.

Some Alabama fans act like they are the sage, wise ones when your fan base is very much like every other fan base.

This is true, too.
But, last year he seemed to have ironed out a lot of concerns we (Or I) had his first year. He looks to be very, very solid as a HC.

Posters like you are the reason people say Bama posters are insecure.

You have the best coach in CFB history and are routinely in the hunt for SEC and National Titles, and you're posting BS about Georgia?

Maybe you're on to something though. Georgia was a sleeping giant. They can out recruit every school in the nation without leaving their own backyard, yes, they can out-recruit even Bama and Saban.

I really don't see it that way. Kirby has never beaten Bama. Why would we be worried about him?

“I’m not scared, you’re scared.”

Look, who is getting better each year? UGA? You bet! That is saying they are getting to a point of beating AL any time now. Playing on equal strength.

There was 4 freshmen on the field the last play of the game and 5 on plays before then.

Just enjoy your 2nd place trophy Vince.

And we had 4 freshman on offense on the field at the same time at times during the game.Doesn't mean
the team was a "bunch of freshman".

You guys had a record 12 players drafted compared to 6
by UGA and were superior in every posistion group except for RB and LB.So just stop with "bunch of freshman" garbage.
