What year was that again? I can't remember that far back.

I do remember that they had a pretty good running back and that it took a miracle play to beat an 8-4 Gator team.

Oh, I remember now, it was 1980 and I was 24 years old.

Apparently the blue balls comment struck a nerve if you felt "insulted" by it. Kind of sad really.

Nah, you were also calling me insecure. And I never said I was insulted. I said you were throwing insults and changing the subject. Which you're doing again.

Yeah, basically. And you took it hook, line, and sinker.

Its not an insult if no one is insulted by it.

I went to elementary school with their starting QB. He's about 10 months older than me.

So, I was 20 when they won it all.

He had a state retirement so he just had to put the years in.

I mean I get that he could retire....what i meant was being in a financial position to actually do it at that age is rare. He must have done great investing his money. I am guessing the Katrina thing meant he got a lot of OT and was able to turn it over into investments.

That's what I did basically. I was working 12 hours a day M-F and 8 hours on Saturdays. Then, every time we got a raise I just rolled it all into my 401K.

A lot of people take their OT money and just sped it or buy a new car or something. Your dad must have been very disciplined. You should be very proud of him.

Dave Ramsey has a saying, "Living like no one else, so you can live like no one else."
