This is not a discussion of "should". It's not directed at any particular team/coach.
It's directed at any team that brings in one or more of the "NFL players".
How do you integrate them into the team, having missed all of training camp and the week of your first game? Is the talent upside worth the distraction?

I don’t know about the other schools, but most of LSUs potential additions would be depth not starters. In Pyburn’s case, he already somewhat knows the playbook.

Probably the same way pro teams who trade players mid-season do it.

But seriously, in LSUs case Pyburn being an ex tiger if he joins is easy. And Wright knows the offense of course. Not much of a learning curve with the DTs.
