He actually wanted to go to UGA early on. Morris was all over him as a 9th grader. I think UGA probably didn't show him a ton of love initially because they saw him as a dual threat guy. The truth was as good as his legs were, his arm and his will to win were even better.

We probably don't get Trevor Lawrence without Deshaun Watson... so thank you.

Yeah, we were late to that party. For some reason our coaches were not sold on him.

Maybe he is thinking we think that recruiting is all it takes?

No, he thinks outliers prove the rule. If one 2 star can make the NFL, and one 5 star flops, then rankings suck. The other 100's of examples proving otherwise dont mean a thing. Thats essentially his reasoning.

I know of very few things in which there are no exceptions to a rule.

I honestly thought he'd be as strong as or better than Les at recruiting. Not so much to this point.

Blue Chip ratio is far more important than star average.

In IT we had to use RTFM and PEBCK formats.

Mac couldn’t recruit. He did get some some talented guys that were under the radar but over his recruiting was a joke .

Dominique Sanders (tied for most UGA career interceptions), Aaron Davis, Isiah McKenzie. Just a few guys off our team the last few years who were “diamonds in the rough.” Pruitt did that a lot at UGA and most turned out better than their star level. He has a good eye for talent. I’ll take Kirby raking in the 5s though

Those are startlingly low numbers of 4 and 5's for a school in the heart of some of the most fertile recruiting territory.

Hence why we have a new coach.
