Vandy has now been eliminated at home in 3 out of the last 5 Nashville regionals.

Vandy is now the first #1 overall seed to not make the regional championship round.

Vandy was also the first #1 overall seed to not advance to a Super Regional in 2007.

He’s a little bit better than Paul Mainieri. Vandy needs to move on and get a new coach.

Maineiri lost in a home regional once. Corbin has done it 4 times. Including going 0-2 in 2016 with a 15-1 loss in the 1/4 game.

And Kevin T Rex Arms O’Sullivan. Another coach who loves losing in regionals.

Well Jay is only 1 for 3 on getting out of regionals at LSU at this very moment

LSU far and away has to be the best program when it comes to home regionals

He’s also been to Omaha more than half the seasons he’s been a coach. Corbin has been 5 times in 23 years

Today was the second time Corbin was the #1 overall seed and didn’t make it out of regionals. It’s only happened 4 times he’s done it twice.

choking is just part of the Jacklegg coaching tree -

to Corbin and Kevin O's credit - they've actually won Omaha - unlike their mentor

Corbin also has, by far, the most Omaha wins of any active coach.

He’s washed up at this point. He’s gotta think about hanging it up

Perhaps. But to suggest that he hasn’t succeeded in the postseason is asinine.

2007 with that roster was a pretty epic choke job.

2016 they lost Donny Everett a day before the regional started. Not sure many teams recover from losing a teammate like that.

2023 and 2025 feel very similar. Both teams were at the bottom of the league offensively and had decent enough pitching. Good SEC records, won the SEC tournament, but disappeared in the Regional.

Corbin is an average coach with elite talent. Any average coach with talent Corbin bought could produce the same of better results.
