Y’all won’t be able to afford Morris after he rebuilds Arkansas lol

Says who?

People keep trying to count our money like they have any fricking idea what the limit is.

We raised half of Jimbo's full contract cost within a week just from excitement over him coming. That means in three years his buyout is affordable with the money left over in our couches.

We could raise the money for a successful fellow Aggie even faster.

I just wish LSU had the money to hire the coach they all really wanted (Jimbo) so we didn't have to listen to all the bitching and whining when Arkansas starts kicking that arse in a year or two.

Not the money, the testicular fortitude and competence bc WE ALL KNOW how profitable the LSU football program is and how deep the pockets of their power brokers are. Gonna reiterate: if Canada leaves LSU and LSU doesn't have someone the caliber of Tee Martin or Hugh Freeze lined up to replace him, I just may blow a gasket.

Can't decide who's dumber between Arkansas or Texas A&M fans. Tough decision.

Rustled about What? you guys getting a coach that was 7-5 at SMU? So we are rustled that our sorry coach has: pounded your sorry team 2 years in a row, has a chance at a 10 win season. Hate to tell you bud! but your SMU hire aint scaring nobody especially with that recruiting base in Ark. Enjoy that bottom of the SEC West because you gonna remain there ,as usual, for another 10 years.

You sound salty. And warren Stephens is a multi-billionaire owner of an investment bank. Probably worth more than all the LSU donors combined

If they would have hired Jimbo for 4-5.5 million to a three or four year deal, I would have been pissed off.

For a 10 year 7.5 million guarantee, I am not pissed at all. That is a huge investment for a coach who went 6-6 this year.

Jimbo is obviously a much better coach than O, but I am happy LSU is not on that financial hook.
LSU's athletic department makes, what, 50 mil a year, when you figure in TV money. I don't really care if we're "saving' money on our coach, I don't get a rebate check from it. They didn't cut prices after we downgraded salaries from Miles to Orgeron.

no not salty at all. Maybe they should have opened their pocket books and went out and got Jimbo. If that is your point that arky can afford anyone with all that financial backing.

Dude, Chad's a rising star in the industry, he coached those prolific Clemson offenses with Tajh Boyd to start the decade and did lead SMU to a winning record and a bowl game as full-fledged head coach, something Shrimp Boat Capn couldn't do before LSU at his prior full-time posts. That Chad Morris offensive scheme is dynamite: SMU was one of the most prolific offenses in the nation this season, excellent hire and at a discount IMO as well.

None. What we regret is Alleva not firing Leslie when he should’ve been fired.

Les should have never been fired. Firing him and not getting someone better is about to set LSU on a downward spiral similar to what Tennessee has gone thru since firing fulmer

1) yes he should have been fired.

2) the ad doing a fireably bad job of replacing him does not mean we should have continued our clear downward spiral into Ar-Kansas level mediocrity.
