Les Miles was fired from LSU on September 25, 2016. Let's take a look at which players committed out of high school to LSU while under Orgeron and which players committed under Miles.

Of LSU's starters and key backups:

Orgeron
Starting WR Jamarr Chase
Starting WR Terrace Marshall
Starting WR Justin Jefferson
Starting CB Derek Stingley
Starting OLB K'lavon Chaisson
Backup WR Racey McMath
Backup LB Damone Clark

Miles
Starting OT Saahdiq Charles
Starting OG Adrian Magee
Starting C Lloyd Cushenberry
Starting OT Austin Deculus
Starting RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Starting LB Patrick Queen
Starting NT Tyler Shelvin
Starting DT Rashard Lawrence
Starting LB Michael Divinity
Starting LB Jacob Phillips
Starting CB Kristian Fulton
Starting S Grant Delpit
Starting S Jacoby Stevens
Starting S Kary Vincent Jr.
Backup DE Glen Logan
Backup DE Neil Farell Jr.
Backup TE Stephen Sullivan
Backup WR Derick Dillon

Players that transferred to LSU under O
Starting TE Thadeus Moss
Starting OG Damien Lewis
Starting DE Breiden Fehoko
Starting QB Joe Burrow

So looking at this, it looks like Miles is responsible for almost the entire OL and defense. The only position group that O recruited well was WR.

So after looking at this, I've determined that the three coaches most responsible for LSU's championship are Les Miles, Joe Brady, and Urban Meyer.

So lots of credit

So he was the bag man?

When these guys committed they didn’t realize they’d actually have to play for the YawYaw Football man.

Miles did nothing for nearly a decade with just as talented rosters. I know this is a troll but c'mon.

Also this team is primarily comprised of the 2018 class, one of LSU's worst in recent history. Recruiting has been elite for the past few years and 2022 looks to be one of LSU's best ever classes. In two to three years, LSU will be just as, if not more talented than at any point in Miles' tenure.

Yes, this team is BAD, and Pelini needs to get out, but the future still looks good in Baton Rouge

All of it, he was the recruiting coordinator for Miles and he hired the real brains behind it in Brady. He also deserves all the credit for the disaster his team is this year. He didn’t replace the people he needed to replace well. Both can be true.

Pretty heavily dependent on the eventual scholarship reduction penalties.

They will likely have a lot of highly talented players, but lack the depth of other teams as they'll remain below a full complement of scholarship players.

Still, they will have plenty of talent to win ball games. O needs to bring the magic back next yr for 9+ wins or he may be in trouble. Not sure how many blowouts the base will take this yr. That has been the most surprising part.

All the credit should go to the Genius Ensminger. He revolutionized the offense.

That's fair enough, but to be honest LSU only has 60 or so players on scholarship as we speak, so I don't think the reductions will be as big of a problem as they first seem.

But you're right, LSU has the talent right NOW to when most of the games on the schedule. I think O deserves credit for last year, but I am a little concerned about the mindset of this year's' team. Time will tell if he can get it together.

According to Pro Football Focus, LSU’s offensive line actually graded out as a very average unit last year. Their offense played at a historically great level entirely due to Joe Burrow and their skill position players along with Joe Brady’s brilliant offensive skills. And Orgeron brought in all of those guys except CEH. He deserves all of the credit in the world for LSU’s incredible offense last year.
