They did when they signed LOIs. There were only 5 or so contributors who signed while Miles was coach. But good lord dude, you sure spent enough time to go back and look at when each player made a verbal commitment. You seem like you must have a really diverse and fulfilling social calendar.

Les was only able to keep 12 signees when Saban left. When a coach is fired in September, you can’t assume your class is going to stay together. Quite the opposite actually.

I guess so. It was after the Bama game when he played with a separated throwing shoulder.

Best part about this thread. He expended a lot of effort for a troll thread to impress strangers. Kind of defeats the purpose of a trolling.

Took me 10 minutes. You just go to LSU’s classes on 247 and it shows the commitment date.

Orgeron was hired as full time coach in November before signing day. I think they may have realized who the coach was.

Okay I get the point of this thread but damn that's a nice group right there. Jefferson is already a top WR in the league

You missed the all world TE from Marietta or Kennesaw that Kirby whiffed on.

There is a difference between a guy that can build a program, and a guy that can get you the most out of the program you give him.

To this day - Bobby Petrino is the best play-caller I've ever seen in college football. And he'll wreck your program if you let him stay more than two years.

I wonder about Coach O. He's had a couple flame-outs. Also did a Hell of a job holding USC together. It's not good, as the guy at the top of a multi-million dollar sports program, to let selfies with your latest hook-up hit the web. All morals aside - it's a distraction. And one thing we've seen - the guys that last in this business - they have focus. They eliminate distractions.

Jury is still out on Coach O, I'd say. But it's not unprecedented that a cat walks in - wins it all with somebody else's program - but can't sustain it.

That's a crazy question. Coach O deserves all the credit. He's the Head Coach. So you want you want place all the blame on him for 2020 and not give him all the credit for 2019. That does not make sense.

Meh - it's not crazy. How much "credit" does last year get "O" ? I saw Tubby Smith take Kentucky from a team that played in consecutive NCAA title games to consecutive 9-7 finished in the SEC. The fact was - Tubby could do a Hell of a job with a team that was given to him. He couldn't build his own team.

So maybe Coach O WAS not only the right guy last year, but the perfect guy. Doesn't change the question that he might not be the right guy going forward. Can he build - because after this year - LSU needs to rebuild. Can he sustain ? So far ... no. He can not.

Questioning the viability of Coach O is perfectly fair and reasonable.

Meh. Yes and no. Gene Chizik was the head coach of Auburn when they won it all in 2010, but everyone knows who was really responsible for that championship season (Gus Malzahn with Cam Newton at QB). With Cam and Malzahn gone, Chizik went 3-9 in his final year at Auburn.
