How Many Wins are on the Razorback Schedule?

I really though Arky would have to make significant improvement in the wins column after last year. Nowhere to go but up, right? But looking at this schedule...
Portland State - W
Arky has this one easy.
Ole Miss - 35/65
This is a real question mark for next year. Matt Luke is too much of an unknown commodity and I have no idea how that Ole Miss team will look this year. Arky may have a chance, but it will be a road game.
Colorado State - 50/50
San Jose State - 50/50
Arky got embarrassed by North Texas last year. These are not auto wins for this program. They likely win one of the two.
Aggie - L
Slaughter.
Kentucky - 40/60
Stoops has that program trending in the right direction. I think Arky is likely to lose this away game.
Auburn - L
Slaughter.
Alabama -L
One of two things will happen: 1) Bama totally disintegrates Arky or 2) Bama will treat this as a bye week and will only win by like 24 points. Tide's bench will see lots of action.
State - L
This one might not be a beatdown, but I am extremely confident that State wins this game in Fayetteville. Not gonna put a percentage on it.
Western Kentucky - 50/50
This team usually has slightly better athletes than the San Jose States and Colorado States of the world. Expect Arky to win this one at home in a close one as a way to rally the tail end of the season.
LSU - L
My mind wants to say slaughter, but it's Arky. LSU will win, but not without the historically appropriate foibles that put LSU's post-season prospects in jeopardy.
Mizzou - 20/80
I think Kelly Bryant is better than expected and torches Arky's defense as a way to make an end-of-season statement to NFL scouts.
I think this is a 4 or maybe 5 win team. Where am I wrong here?

You are wrong on the 4 and probably right on the 5.
The Ole Miss game is much closer to 50/50
They will win the non-conference games. None of those teams this year compare even close to North Texas.
They will also get a chance to "steal" at least one other win along the schedule of SEC play.

I say they’ll go 4-0 in non-conference and pick up an SEC win somewhere. So 5

That's going to be their biggest loss of the season.

Nah, at LSU and Bama should be much bigger

I'm sorry, but I just have a hard time with this. I don't think they will beat San Jose State, Colorado State, and Western Kentucky. They are going to drop at least one of those games IMO.

Yeah, I can definitely see this.

A&M will not be a slaughter. They beat us by 7 last year, and we had the ball in the 4th quarter with a chance to tie. It'll go to overtime like it does almost every year.
They barely beat us with the worst team we've had in decades. Same with LSU. Both games we lost by 7.
I think we win all 4 non conference games, hopefully beat Ole Miss... and then we will win 1 of the Miss State, Kentucky, or Mizzou games.
We then go to a bowl game and win, putting us at 7 wins.
A man can dream.

Yeah, that would wildly exceed my expectations for your program. Dream on my man!

Eh, none of those teams had a winning record last year. (I'm aware Colorado St won last year with a losing record) I know its easy to look at last year and assume these are not auto wins but this is an extremely easy non-conference schedule even by Arkansas standards. Could they lose one? Sure but they will be favored in every game by a decent amount.

Year ban bet? I'll sweeten the pot since 6 months didn't get your attention.

May have to start an AR will beat MS St. thread if I trigger one more State fan for observing their mediocrity, loss of production, and unproven coach.

Too hard to figure in the Chief the Beef Chavis factor.

They will beat someone they shouldn't(not meaning Ole Miss) this year. Year two should show decent improvement, usually does under a good coach at least. Will let us know if Chad has the program going in the right direction if he can get to a bowl this year.
