Fitz's stats, along with MS St.'s offense, has been pretty consistent statistically the three years he started. Under Mullen and Moorehead.

I see a Baylor like turnaround for Arkansas. I think they get 6 wins.

His competition % was down 4% under Moorhead and he averaged a full yard less per rush from his junior year and two from his sophomore year. It doesn’t seem big but it is. He regressed and a senior he shouldn’t. He made bad reads, I think more in the run game than pass game which took the ball out of our best player’s(K Hill) hands. Stats are what they are and can be manipulated for any argument. The fact is , and I’m telling you if you ask any player or coach connected to them team ,including Fitz, is that he didn’t fit Joe’s O at all and couldn’t run it properly.

It's approximately 1 less completion and 15 less rushing yards per game. You may have a point regarding rushing and I agree he shouldn't have regressed, but it was a minimal regression statistically.
An outsider looking in may chalk that up to coaching/scheme/playbook change before flat out stating MS St. struggled relative to expectations because Fitz didn't fit Moorehead's system.
Not saying it isn't true, it's just a tough buy as a primary reason State didn't do better than 8-4 as 8-4 has basically been State's ceiling for the better part of 2 decades.

That one less completion equaled L’s to Florida and Iowa, but neither were on Fitz as both were dropped TDs that would’ve led to wins. Point is that one competition(or incompletion) a game can be huge. Difference between 8-5 and ranked 25th and 10-3 and ranked between 13 and 18.
