I think it would be smart to redshirt Cooper,

Saban singled him out by name, which you know is a pretty rare thing for him to do, when asked at Media Days about possible impact freshmen.

I realize he singled he and a couple others out but Bell, Norwood, White, Chris Jones are all ahead and will play. Catching a couple passes isn't worth keeping the RS off.

I guess I'll trust his judgement over yours. No hard feelings though

I may be confused, but I read during the summer he was cleared, now in the Clarion Ledger he isn't cleared to practice??? What is the holdup?

Did I mention that I HATE the NCAA.

He was accepted by the university, waiting on the clearinghouse. They are dragging their feet as always. Everyone seems to say is just a technicality and we should know soon but you never know with the NCAA

Our two signees who haven't been cleared by the clearing house have decided to enroll at Hargrave Military academy

One of them had his grades and all but the NCAA red flagged his ACT because it went up 3 poitns and supposedly thats why they wouldnt admit him.

I'm sure 6-8 will see playing time at some point. Overall, I think most of this class redshirts. Ones who have a decent chance to play:

Jonathan Jones - KR
Ricardo Louis - KR, WR
Jaquay Williams - WR (later in the year)
Patrick Miller - OT
Jovon Robinson - RB
Cassanova McKinzy - MLB (just because I'm convinced Holland sucks)
Zeke Pike - Obvious pick is obvious.

7 or 8

Keon Hatcher - WR
Demetrius Dean - TE
Otha Peters - LB
Will Hines - CB/S
Defonta Lowe - S

2 out of these 4 will play according to our DL coach. He wont decide until the season though.

Jamichael Winston - DE
Deatrich Wise - DE
Taiwan Johnson - DE
Brandon Lewis - DE

Possibly at PR/KR:

Nathan Holmes - RB

I agree - I'd be more than a little nervous if I had to depend on jew-fro running my defense.

Cassanova McKinzy will see the field regular by October, IMO.

I think we'll see chris landrum before mckinzy in the middle... just me opinion, though.

I'd like to see Diamond hold down one of the guard spots... guards were pretty weak in spring practice.

Only 3 definites

RB Trey Williams
WR Thomas Johnson
CB Devante Harris

Could be up to 6 or 7 depending on injuries though, as both the OL and DL have freshman that will be in the 2 deep

I think Sabian Holmes ends up playing some too

Probably so, but I didn't list him because he's not a true FR.
