quote:one of their assistant AD’s comes speak at our church in Wichita from time to time and he seems like a great guy. Doesn’t surprise me he works for some that knows what they’re doing.
OU (who has one of the best AD's in the country, if not the best) saw this early and last minute scaled back seating with their stadium upgrade a few years ago.
Sometimes less is more.

Doesn’t appear this is holding back the 24 recruiting class to be out performing yours on basically every recruiting site.

IDK why, but they says a lot to me.
Tiger Stadium used to be open. Used to.

If only the powers to be at UT would do this and it make it a much more enjoyable experience for the fans. Capacity at Neyland should be around 90k instead of 102k.
It looks like the upcoming Neyland Stadium renovations will only remove about 540 seats.

More comfort is necessary to keep attendance up. 90,000 aren't going to show up in 90+ degree temperatures to sit on top of each other on metal benches when you can watch every game on TV. And a student section that holds 40,000 isn't necessary when you only have 30,000 show up at most of the games. Lowering the capacity, adding chair backs, more space will increase overall attendance and raise the value of a ticket.

We went to 5 SEC schools and we immediately go to each stadium. Drive by the Swamp and it is open. We go inside and there are a ton of students running the bleachers, some students were reading, and there were even 3 girls on field tumbling…not on the playing surface though.
Hopefully it never changes, The Swamp is such a key part of campus life.

The majority of UF's current students do not give a shite about Florida football lol.
