why are people picking Ole Miss to drop off??
We have Marshall Henderson. That's it. We're going to be horrendous in the paint.

Once Saiz gets a little experience he's going to be really good.

If things go well maybe six. I'm going to guess five of these six teams make it though.
Kentucky
Florida
Tennessee
Missouri
Alabama
LSU
I guess Arky or Ole Miss could replace one of those teams if things go really well for them.
We really need the SEC teams to do better out of conference this year so that we improve the conferences overall SOS and RPI.

Billy Kennedy will bring A&M to the tournament this year...
Oh wait, I'm not one of those guys.

I'm still surprised at how quickly A&M fell. Turgeon and Gillispie had you guys rolling going to 6 straight NCAA tournaments. Is this a make or break year for Kennedy? I know it's only his third year but he inherited a program in pretty good shape and his first two seasons weren't even close to tournament teams.

True, but Turgeon put us on the brink of academic probation and he's doing the same thing at Maryland. To Kennedy's credit, he's fixed that.

I think it's a make or break year. The only player left on the roster who is a carryover from the Turgeon years in any way, shape, or form is Kourtney Roberson. He actually did not inherit a program in that good of shape when you consider that Dash Harris was our starting point guard. He was a great defender, but we were basically playing 4 on 5 on offense. The parkinsons excuse can only go so far though. At some point you have no excuse when you lose to teams like Rice and Southern at home in nonconference. The team looks more like Melvin Watkins final season than in any of Gillispie's seasons. That 2003-2004 team that went 0-17 in conference had Acie Law and Antoine Wright in the same lineup.

It's just inevitable at this point.

I think we'll get in to the tourney again this season and lose to lesser competition in the first round for the third straight season. It's becoming a tradition.
Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky will make it.
LSU and Alabama could make it.

Add Georgia to the list...... trust me I'm not crazy.

Mizzou was preseason ranked what? #6? and made it as a what? 9 seed?
Bama will continue to wander around listlessly in the RPI range of 50, again with only minor hopes of an NCAA bid.

We will have a very good RPI this year just going by schedule strength.

But we had better notch a few wins, too. And by god, do not lose to the Mercers and Tulanes of the world.
