I went to the beach in 2012, and was waiting on the walkway for my kids to come on up from the ocean, and had on an Alabama hat. This pretentious woman decked out in LSU gear walked up and looked at my hat, at me, and turned away in disgust. I just chuckled and said nothing. She turned turned to someone in her group and said “Look, they put out out the yellow and purple flags for us here on an Alabama beach. They must have known we were coming.” She then turned to me and gave me a smug look. Normally I don’t say anything to jackasses like that, but she was arrogant enough that I didn’t want to let that go unchecked. I told her “No ma’am, that is for the current and sharks, but don’t worry, if they are LSU sharks they will not get within fifty yards of the shore.” She looked flabbergasted, gave me a harumph, and turned and went back towards her condo.
99.99% of LSU folk I have met have been great. Like Alabama folk as well, that 0.1% gives everyone a bad name.

I remember back in early 2011 an LSU fan questioned Bama's titles. Since that time LSU has won one title and Bama has won five and will soon be six.

There was that year we lost to 2 mediocre teams. There was also that year we didn’t play the number one team and split the title with them.
