They could lose everyone from the two deep and they would go from dominant to very, very good.

Adams would play ahead of Matias-Smith this year. Next season, he's a lock to start anywhere in the country. Beckwith is a little iffier, but would log a healthy amount of time. Key most likely would have redshirted, but factoring the PT he accrued at LSU if he magically appeared on our roster next season no doubt he starts in the nickel/dime packages (which we run more of than base).

I've had a hard time listing our "starters" on this team. A hell of a lot of players rotated in and out and played a ton. We'll lose some and keep some - but I'm not worried about a significant drop in production next season.

Jamal Adams would start anywhere in the country, including Alabama. If Beckwith comes back, he's also start at Alabama. Arden Key might, depending on the package, as well as Lewis Neal.

Yeah, I agree Adams stars for anyone. I'd sit Beckwith for Reuben Foster though.

This is meant to be a slam on you. You're a fricking moron if you actually believe this.

But.. would you take Beckwith or Foster in the middle?

I'd take Foster but Bama plays with 2 ILB...Beckwith would take over for Ragland and play aside Reuben...

Who in the secondary would White beat out? Same for Adams.

Both Mattias-Smith and Cyrus Jones are gone. Just my opinion but I think Adams (he was a high priority recruit for us) would take over for Mattias-Smith at safety...I've seen at least one projection ranking White as high as the third best corner, if he declares, in the draft...White would take over for Cyrus Jones...

Toliver would push for a starting spot and Davon Godchaux would as well. He had 6 sacks playing DT and getting double teamed all season for LSU. Godchaux would be a very, very good 3-4 DE.

Godchaux would be in the rotation. Don't know if he is a better player than Hand and Tomlinson or not though, same with Neal. Hand was the number one recruit in the country and probably only played 15% of our defensive snaps as a sophomore, though he played well in the championship game.

Bama could have 22 freshman starting and they'd still win the SEC

They all are staying. They don't want to take a pay cut to go to the NFL.

I have a hard time believing no one at LSU could start over Minkah Fitzpatrick

According to 247 sports, LSU has a total of 5 ( 5 star players on their roster ) The 2016 Alabama starting defense by itself looks to have 8 ( 5 star players ) with the rest being 4 star players. Don't think next years defense will be a problem.

Minkah Fitzpatrick was one of the best DBs in the SEC. He had a bad game , but that doesn't take away the year he had. He'll be pre season all SEC. LSUd front was extremely bad. Only A&M in the west has a softer front. Neal,Key, La Couture, and Godchaux were all average to below average. They were blown off the ball by Bama, Arky, and Ole Miss. The domination of Texas tech has deluded people again.

LSU had a lack of talent in 2015 and they are signing a much needed monster class.

in the middle, yes i would

white is one of the top corners in this years draft if he were to declare, and this is according to any mock i've seen. if he were to return, he'd absolutely start at alabama
quote:

Same for Adams.

adams would literally start anywhere in the country. he was one of alabama's biggest targets, so stop pretending like what alabama has is just better, at no offense to lsu of course. if adams had committed to alabama and not lsu he'd already be starting there now

If Jonathan Allen and Rueben Foster come back, and I think they will, this will be another very salty defense. The frightening thing about it is they might be as good or better rushing the passer.

The secondary will be loaded .Experience at LB plus several that have been waiting. What will be needed is a couple of big boys to step up vs the run and we always seem to have those.
