How many SEC teams make the playoffs?

4 or less. With the new bloodbath schedules 10-2 or better will be hard to come by. Some 9-3s would be in line for a 4th possible spot though.

4 sounds about right. 3 would be low. 5 or more stronger year

There will be 7 at large bids, so basically the SEC would have to get 4 of the 7 at large bids in order to have 5 SEC teams in the CFP playoffs.

That is such an interesting scenario. I think if you're facing a monster team like Georgia in 2022 in the SECCCG, it would be better to be 3rd.
You take the extra loss, have the wear and tear of a brutal game, and probably get punished for that loss.
