Care to guess who won it in 92'punk?

Technically Alabama won the title on January 1, 1993.

Miami won their national title on January 1, 1992.

I was a senior in high school and I can still remember it just as well as that 36-17 whipping we gave Florida back in October

I was alive and remember it. You might appreciate that I was actually at the Sugar Bowl when they lost to Penn St in 1982 (83 Sugar Bowl) with a chance to win a second title with Herschel

I remember that was the first time I saw a portable TV. It probably had a 5” B&W screen but we had a bunch of LSU fans huddled around it as LSU had a chance to beat a great Nebraska team in the Orange Bowl, but didn’t quite pull it off. For about 20 mins, no one around us was paying any attention to the national championship happening right in front of us.

I lived in North Augusta, SC back then. At 5 and 6, I was too young to care about college football at the time, but I remember school friends talking mad shite about those teams in elementary school even though they sucked, and this continued up into high school. They acted like Georgia and Clemson were still winning championships even though I watched both teams get killed every Saturday. Clemson fans were delightfully delusional, but Georgia fans were obnoxious.

Clemson and Georgia both "sucked" in the early 80's?

I was, but was far more interested in Daisy Duke and her cut off jeans and what was inside my Stretch Armstrong.
