Put it on high and wrap it in tin foil. Put it on for 10 minutes and it will be cooked.

I once watched a video on tin foil in the microwave. I think it's about points of metal reflecting the microwaves. To demonstrate this a metal fork in the microwave will usually spark at the ends of the tines. But a metal spoon will usually be fine, because of the lack of defined points. Tin foil is especially bad because it crinkles, which can create thousands of points. So, I think if you can keep the tin foil perfectly smooth, and round the corners with some scissors, you might be fine. Go ahead and give it a shot

You may understand the microwave as a small appliance for reheating leftovers and preparing processed foods specifically designed for it. But unsuitable for cooking raw ingredients from scratch for a meal.
But, in the beginning this wasn't understood. It was larger. It was marketed to replace the oven and stove and cook the food.
Maybe there are still some diehards out there. If there are, they'd be in Florida like the OP.
This is a fricking microwave thread

just put small parts of it in a toaster for however long that takes. Let the borderline turkey rest in a shallow pan covered loosely with foil.

The foil cooked it right up. Yummy. Happy Thanksgiving bitches

The question remains - does Dave Aranda microwave his turkey?

How long does a 18 pound turkey take to thaw out?
You don’t have to thaw it out. Just drop the frozen bird directly in the deep fryer. The oil will thaw it out!

Sadly, only two or three of us knew it. Great thread though.
