Glad to see the haters who get jealous of us because we dominate ALL SEC sports....trophy case will prove that.

We have shiney toys and have beaten LsU 2 out of the last three games and THEY are the worse losers. It must be the delta water. I remember driving to NO and listen to UF blown out Tulane I believe it was 1982 or 83. The radio broadcast team were the worse moaners...kept implying the refs robbed them, WTF?

In 2012 we beat LsU at home with a frigging bad arse defense and a RB named Gillislee who just kept getting 7 or 8 yds a pop. LsUs defense was sucking air in the 4th qt. A beautiful play was when Matt Elam stripped the ball from WR after long gain and recovered. The balloon popped then.

Cant wait til we beat Jawja and deeprig goes in hiding.

Oh I remember the UF fan base well in the 90s both as a part time resident of Mt Dora at the time as well as an regular on Ray Hines' Gator Country during the bad old days of SECNation.com

Florida fans were in ratified air under SOS and they were difficult to deal with, no doubt about it. Happened later in the 90s though. Early 90s they were still getting used to being relevant and still relatively humble.

What? You guys were ineligible for TV,bowls or the SEC Championship

The 1984 SEC title was vacated 6 months after the season ended.

1984 Florida Gators posted a 9–1–1 overall record and a Southeastern Conference (SEC) record of 5–0–1 (8–0 and 4–0, respectively, under Hall), finishing first among ten SEC teams, and won their first-ever SEC title.
The Gators finished third in the Associated Press Poll and seventh in the Coaches Poll, and were also named national champions by twenty-two publications including The New York Times and The Sporting News.

On May 30, 1985, the presidents of the ten SEC-member universities voted 6–4 to vacate the Gators' 1984 SEC title and declared the team ineligible for the SEC championship during the upcoming 1985 and 1986 seasons because of the rule violations committed under Pell.
The retroactive vacating of the 1984 championship, six months after the 1984 football season ended, drew an angry response from University of Florida president Marshall Criser, as well as Gators coaches, players and fans due to the retroactive nature of the decision and its perceived unfairness.

1985 UF tied for best record with Tennessee, won the head to head matchup but was ineligible.

Only chilled out once they cut off their mullets and ditched the jean shorts.

I specifically mentioned the '85 and you can't be stripped of anything you weren't elegible for in the first place.

frick you and Florida fans in any decade. I'm just glad UGA is applying the hobnail boot on their necks as of late.

You can only hold them down so long tho.

I was only a preteen when the 90s ended, but I do remember the dominance of Florida and the behavior of their fans. There was quite a bit of trash talking going on over the airwaves, especially among Alabama-based Gator fans who called into Finebaum during those days. Despite their trash talking, however, I never really had an issue with Florida as a whole. I didn't like Spurrier but his teams consistently beat Auburn and Tennessee - our two biggest rivals - in the mid/late-90s. That kind of endured them to me. Of course I hated them when Alabama played them.

Y'all must be a bunch of assholes.

Been there many times including the 80's and 90's and since. I never had a problem. I've been invited to tailgate with them every time. There is some friendly banter but always a great experience.

If you act like an a-hole, you will be treated like one. If you act with class, you will be treated with class.

It was bad. They were extremely trashy. I saw it on two fronts. I went to LSU in the 90s and my ex-wife went to Florida State.

I did make the trip to Florida for the LSU game in 2014 and I had no issues. They were actually fairly pleasant prior to the game. Very quiet after the game.
