I'd like to see the opposing team setup a prayer circle around a player faking an injury for funzies.

Mostly because we weren't faking.

looking like soccer games out there

The way to stop it is if you go down you're out for the next ten plays. Someone legitimately injured badly enough to be down on the field has no business being back out there a play later.
THAT would end the fakery.

With replay on the whole field, this should be at least a 5 years penalty.

5 years is a little steep.

Poor young man never recovered. Opposing coach clearly did not care about the safety of the players.

That's called an epidemic.

LSU was the master of this in the Miles days. That Auburn one is bad but the only time I've seen us do it blatantly. Like someone else pointed out the ND game against UGA a couple of years ago was noticeably bad. There definitely needs to be something done about it.

Given how our offense has the pace of a meth head that has drank 15 cups of coffee…
Plenty.
Plenty.

"Had my fill of it, not sure what can be done about it but something needs done."
Easy solution. If a player goes out with injury, and the clock stops, then the player is not allowed back on the field until a change of possession.

You guys are better than that! Always a good time in Fayetteville!

That would definitely solve it. I've seen it at lower levels too watching plenty of Troy games and other FunBelt games. Several schools were running no huddle, lining up, then looking to the sideline for the playcall to limit defensive subs. Saw a few linebackers keel over clutching a leg, only to be back out there the very next play and rushing the passer like nothing happened. All they did was limp to the sideline, stand by the coach, and run back in full speed to line up for the next play.

I have only spotted one obvious one against us so far this season. There have probably been others with better acting and fooled me.
You'll see several tomorrow. Your offense is going to have our D acting dumb, especially since we're going to struggle to get yards on offense. Our guys aren't known for being the best actors. Don't be surprised if you see the good ol' running up to the line and falling over like a fainting goat bit
