How many Arky wr's have been drafted thus far? Hamilton, Gragg, and Wade are going to be the best set of receivers in the West. Knile Davis is going to open up the passing game for bigger plays. Wilson may just be the be the best QB in college football. That's pretty amazing after losing what we did in Adams, Wright, and Childs. If Arkansas' D improves, I like our chances.

This the kind of crap we hear every year that brings the opposing smack you get.

IF you still had Petrino, who knows but likely you lose 2. Without Petrino and with all the discussion, not likely only 2.

there was a lot "WR U" talk

U stands for 'University' and doesn't have anything to do with where our receivers go in the draft. Arkansas DID have the best wr corps in college football for the past two years. That doesn't mean they'll all be 1st rounders.

They put up decent numbers but they weren't very talented.

Jarius Wright was the best receiver in the SEC and Joe Adams was the best return specialist in the country.

Oh no, were you just trolling?

NFL drafts on talent

Yep, that's all. That's the one thing they draft on. Just talent. That's it. Not size or anything else whatsoever.

Players like Upshaw not getting drafted until the second round, and Adams still not drafted. WTF?

Ark receivers are not the prototypical NFL receiver so they will be drafted lower. Benton at Auburn is the prototypical receiver body, if he'd ever perform on the field. The NFL likes a big wide body receiver, and they focus on getting that. The rest are chain movers, people who can catch but not break tackles.

Upshaw played 30-40 pounds heavier than what he will at the NFL level and played out of position as well. At college he did very well, at the NFL level with the talent gap closed as much he won't show much much at that position. That is on Saban but Saban put him where he needed him, can't fault a coach for doing that.

The draft overall is starting to show signs of catching up with where the game is/going. I'd have never drafted Richardson that high, he's the top RB this year but the way the game is going at the NFL level I wouldn't touch an RB in the first 15 spots it is a waste of a pick. The draft is in transition right now due to the fact the NFL's game is changing in a major way, it is not about who can run the ball the best it is about who can pass the ball the best. The short out passing game is the running game now. So that's why we are seeing the draft get strange, next year it will be even stranger as GMs finally get this more and start focusing on getting players that better fit the new direction of the game.

haven't watched the draft as much and I know they had the best corps in cfb.

USCw probably had the best with their big one-two punch. That being said Arkansas could have 3 guys come off the board in round 4. Many of the re-mocks are showing all three this round. That would be pretty damn good.

That being said you've got backs signing record contracts. Johnson, AP, Foster, etc. Guys like MJD and Rice are big time players. Getting a complete back that can pound the ball, block, and catch is huge. I don't care if they only have an 8 to 10 year shelf life. I don't understand why people even care about shelf life due to free agency. It isn't like that many guys have 15 year careers for one team at most positions.

I'd love to see Joe Adams as a Texan. Jacoby is on the way out so you need a returner as well. He'd fill 2 needs.

5'10 170 pound receivers not a high priority in the NFL unless they missed the entire year with a bad injury

Houston, Dallas, Tennessee, St.Louis were the 4 teams who showed the most interest in Adams.
