Trick question. When Saban retires, he will immediately lobby for the end of football due to safety issues, thereby cementing his eternal status as the greatest of all time.

You sir, are an idiot. Do a little research into the history of college football. Alabama is inarguably a top 5 program all time by whatever metric you want to use. Clemson is a respectable program but is not in Bama's stratosphere historically speaking. Clemson was undoubtedly the SECOND best team last year. It's a loser's mentality to even suggest otherwise as Clemson's last score made the game appear closer than it was. Sucks for you that special teams are a part of the game. I find it amusing that you want to slam Alabama while you're greatest success came under the guidance of Danny Ford and Dabo, both of whom are Bama men. Now, GFY and DIAF.

Clemson was better than Bama in the 80s, Bama only had two great seaons in the 1990s, 91 and 92, and Clemson was mediocre and then bad under Tommy West.

Great stat. Clemson was 87-25-4 and the Tide was 85-33-2 during the 80's; a percentage point diff. of about 5%.

quote:

Clemson was better in the 00's under Bowden, until Saban got to Bama, and Bowden got fired that year soon after being crushed by Bama due to a bad O-line. Bama lost 7 in a row to Auburn. some dynasty lol

That is sarcastic and there was no need for that. Clemson fans really have no need to insult Alabama's historical issues that have plagued it and driven it into the ground over the seasons.

Alabama may never soar like a Tiger but they can lope along like a dying elephant.

It's so funny watching their fans in despair and agony. They think they are so great but, look at them now. Saban may quit one day and then that will show them and we will all laugh.

Ha, ha, ha. What if they don't win the NC this season. It will destroy their rotten cores and bleed that sorry state of it's ignorance a bit.\

That is so funny and if they don't win the NC, we will all laugh because Bammer sucks dude and really always has like but not for like always been sorry and a pitiful team.

They only have the 2nd most wins on the field of play, behind only Michigan, because they had like a bunch of good coaches and shite and good players. Other than that, they sux hard.

If they can't even become the team with the best winning percentage of any team in the nation by the time next season is over, they are just sorry.

It's a virtual lock though. After next season, Alabama should have the best winning percentage of any team in the nation, all-time, counting on the field wins.

Bama 2nd in All-Time Wins

And that is what counts among the players and real fans, the games played on the grid.

i don't think Dabo will be be in their initial top 3 or 4. they will want somebody with NFL experience or one of Saban's former or current assistant coaches. Saban may handpick his successor.

i don't think Dabo leaves Clemson. going to Alabama is a lateral move and I thinnk Clemson is an easier school to recruit players, being closer to the north east but also close to Georgia and Florida, plus being near the mountains and lake next to campus.

i think Dabo would have a hard time leaving his mansion on a clear water mountain lake to go to centeral Alabama. lol

this ... alabama is clearly, football speaking, a lateral move from the clemson tigers ... they've won 1 national title to bama's double digit number (double digits, irrespective of any controversial claims), probably a 3rd of bama's conference titles, and though they have not been credited with taking down the reigning powerhouses of the day in the 1920s, they do have a rock they put in 30 years ago ... and even though dabo is a former bama player, he would look at his purple and orange glosticks and melt at the thought of coming home if offered the job ...

or you are arrogant . what was Alabama doing before Saban. you have a short memory

I'd say you are the one with the short memory. Clemson won their sole title in 1981. In between that and 2008, Clemson had 4 10 win seasons. Bama had NINE. Clemson finished ranked in the AP or UPI top a whopping ZERO times. Bama did it three times and won a national title - and that was the worst Bama era since the1950s.

So congrats on being terribly wrong, but by now you should be used to it.

i just researched it, Bama wasn't that good in the 80s, most of the 90s, and terrible in 00's until Saban.

you are relying on wins decades ago when there were a lot less competitive programs.

bama had lost 7 in a row to auburn. lol u bragging about your program but obviously it isn't always good. it depends on the coach, that's my point. Saban won a title at LSU and he could win titles at many colleges. there isn't anything magical about Bama compared to other large state schools that are serious about fball. that is delusional

alabama wasn't that good in the 80s, most of the 90s, and 00s, with a lot of cheating and vacate wins and probations in there.

you are a cheater program, you and auburn.

Yes, we are a cheater program and we will continue to be as long as we win NC's at least 3 times out of every 5 year period.

If you win big every single season, others lose interest. So, we must not allow all of college football fandom to turn on poor Alabamy like people do against the hapless New York Yankees.

saban won't be there forever and you weren't doing that before. can't see anybody wanting to go to alabama from out of state when Saban leaves. football is more competitive now then it was decades ago when bama was racking up titles.

Saban has another 5 good years in him at least. He looks like hes 50 not 65. He's going to win his 6th championship this year, then needs to win one more in the next 5 years to solidify himself as the best to ever coach. I think he retires at 7 titles. Nobody is going to ever match that, urbs is the only coach in striking distance and i don't see him winning 4 more, too volatile and sensitive

it seems like his robotic peronality would turn off young people. that's why i think hepays players to go there. even coach K doesn't win that many titles in a few years

Condensed version: Bama is only good when they are good and they always suck and Clemson rocks dude.

Plus, no players will ever wish to go to Tuscaloosa without Saban there.

I'm 13 years old and I am not an idiot and I follow football very closely and have experienced a lot of football in my life. Football began mostly around the time I was born so I know a lot about good football.

Before I was born, everything was easy and the only teams that won games were teams like with good coaches and they could recruit. BEar and Stallings and Saban and Wade and Thomas were the only reasons players ever came to Bama.

Does Alabama get an All-Star player who was also a mega-superstar Western star for decades? Hell no they don't if not for a good coach.

I'm sick of teams having good coaches and then getting good players and being in a state like Alabama.

It isn't fair and Alabama should not be allowed to have that kind of success. STates like South Carolina deserve it because they aren't Southern and consider Southerners to be hicks and trash.

Well, i would say about 90 percent of college coaches would rather have the Alabama job than the Clemson job. Are we really having this conversation? Clemson is like Auburn except not as good most years. Clemson goes back to mediocrity when Watson leaves. Bama will still be a contender.

The Clemson poster is correct in his assumption that if Clemson had 4 or 5 Hall of Fame coaches and a lot of good players, over an extended period of about a hundred years, they would be a historically great monster of epic proportions.

All it would take for Clemson to be the same as Alabama would be for them to have 901 wins and then who looks like the idiot? Bama, that's who.

Can't argue with the sound logic that the South Carolina school systems have produced.

Still don't see a difference?

Resorting to childish slander already? If Bama has always been full of cheaters, and all your great coaches came from Bama, then..?
