mizzou game was probably the closest they came to quitting... that game was ugly and over by halftime. I really thought UT would go up there and play well.

last year's schedule was absolutely brutal, though... add in the zero quality depth left by dooley and it was a recipe for a rough year.

We had a chance early on to at least be in that game but between Tiny's false starts and a few other penalties every freaking big play/TD got called back. At one point, Dobbs was the only one playing so yes they did quit for a little while and came close to completely lying down. By the time they decided to play the game was out of hand.

A lot of our positions weren't just zero quality depth but sadly a few of our starters wouldn't have started on any other SEC team. Dooley was also master at finding 4* guys who had no other offers.

Three more years tops. His offense is outdated.

I just don't think putting traditional Tennessee expectations on Butch is very fair. I do think they'll be competitive again if he stays for a bit.

There are just a handful of schools I don't see returning to the national elite (other than sporadically), and unfortunately Tennessee is one of them. I wouldn't mind being wrong, as I generally like them.

We didn't see his offense last year. We saw a few plays but they didn't open the playbook last year much at all.

The poor OL play given all that talent is another curious situation.... not all players buy into a new coach and scheme, but there aren't many good excuses for being that bad up front on offense.

It wasn't that the OL didn't buy in...they weren't physically matched for the style of play. Butch wants to go to a HUNH with zone blocking. The OL was very big and slow last year. Tiny Richardson is evidence of this. He wasn't drafted because of his health/mobility concerns.

That being said, UT wasn't "that bad up front". They faced a lot of tough defenses, and still averaged 188 yards per game. They only averaged 165 yards passing per game, but that wasn't because of the OL. UT gave up 15 sacks last season. Not as good as 2012's total of 8, but they were breaking in a new system.

Apparently JRM and his friends were standing near the site of a large party and screaming happened then shots. JRM felt a sting in his arm and he and his friends dashed to their car and fled - took him to the hospital. Police say they were just bystanders. Hoping the shot isn't serious.

The offensive and defensive schemes are questionable. I think he maxes out around 8 wins in 2015/2016 and leaves the next guy with a lot of talent.

Tennessee is in the top 10 in all time wins but hasn't been relevent since 2007. I think they beat Florida this year.

Florida's only issue is coaching. They have play-off level talent/championship talent. If Muschamp can't pull it together and/or the new guy can't get his offense rolling in a year then we might have a chance but if UF gets their shite together we don't have the talent to compete yet. I hate saying that too.
