How long until OK and TX are officially considered "SEC States"?

How long before the B1G learn to count past 10? Ditto for the Big 12. How long before the ACC realizes that Stanford and California surf in the Pacific? When do UCLA and USC become the natural rivals to Penn State? And just what is a Nittany anyway? So many burning questions to answer in college football these days.

Its crazy how simple this whole thing could have been- a 4 team playoff with the big 10, sec, big 12 and pac 12 champions. All they would have needed to do was merge the "good" acc teams into the big 10 and sec and there would have been the perfect playoff and regional format.

The answer, back when we had 5 power conferences, was a 6-team playoff. 5 conference champs and the best team not in those conferences.

You seed them for the playoffs, and the top 2 teams get a bye. This keeps meaning in regular season games and puts a premium on winning your conference.
