They obviously don’t have A&M money to pay a 80 million buyout. Are they really gonna let Kelly go 9-3 for the next 5+ years?

I'd say at least until year 6.

His contract is massive. LSU is a broke university so they're stuck with him for a good amount of time. Plus I don't think he's getting a fair shake. O ran the program so far into the ground. They're still in recovery mode due to him.

Kelly’s contract is pretty much guaranteed. They will owe him 90% of what is left on his contract if he is fired. I believe if they fired him today they would owe him over $80 million. The buyout will decrease by a little over $8 million per year. How much can LSU afford?

LSU raised the money to tell EdO to get the frick out.

We fired the entire defensive staff and paid all the buyouts

You don’t think the same could happen to BK?

His buyout would be about $66.2 mil today.

He will make it to year 5, at minimum.

Doesn’t the same question apply to Beamer and USC?

I tried to suggest opening another children's hospital last night, seems like it got a lot of upvotes so I think it's a good idea.

We'll be able to afford that payout in no time.

Frankly no, any buyout over $50 million (maybe $30 million) would be a huge political problem for the university in the state. Yeah the AD money is separate but voters don’t know that, which will get local politicians involved to score points. Six year minimum seems right.

That kind of mistake plagued game and poor discipline doesn't look good for the coaches.
