Kirby is a coaches’ son and has a reputation of mingling with other coaches very often. The entire point is to learn, grow, and share with one another.

Too bad that mingling led to Chaney going to Tennessee for the exact same job and him having to promote from within for both coordinators.

Georgia is a top ten program. That does not sound like a coach people want to work with.

Even if he is not, a list of 3 better coaches is pretty damn short.

How do you explain Chaney leaving for the same position in a decidedly worse offense and having to hire from within for both coordinator positions?

I'm certain even Georgia fans were worried it took so long to land a DC and eventually settle.

Money is a good reason to do that. Vols are paying big bucks for a guy they didn’t like earlier this decade.

Oregon is below Kirby. Only active coaches ahead are saban and dabo.

Uga has finished 5th and 3rd in the playoff rankings. That doesn’t happen without quality coaching.

Miami under Larry Coker finished #1, #2, and #5 in his first three seasons there.

I'd be surprised if Fromm didn't come back for 2020. And UGA is going to be so loaded the next two years, talent-wise, that you wonder if UGA fans might start to turn a bit if they don't win a championship the next couple years.

Hopefully they don't because only then will their recruiting hopefully start to slow down a bit.

I don’t know. Maybe because they offered him $500,000 more a year. Is that really that hard to believe he would leave for a large chunk of money that UGA wouldn’t match.

Sure. No one wants to work for Kirby when a competing offer doubles the pay.

Kirby must really be shitty. All these coaches want to hang out with him. But show a crap ton of money in Knoxville, and they are gone. What is this? Capitalism?

If Fromm stays for 2020 a NC will be the expectation, and anything less will be a big disappointment.

Fromm will likely be a top 10-15 pick after this season, so I doubt he stays.

Yeah, Georgia wanted to lose their OC so they could promote their QB Coach.

Man, there is some strong confirmation bias there in Georgia.

We have lots of inexperienced talent at WR that will need to step up. DL is going to be a concern. We have several players coming back from injuries that should contribute.

DJspectrum told me that he'd be a fifth round pick.

The reason I know that photo is an accurate facsimile of the future is because at 75 Kirby will still be rocking his elementary school boy haircut.
