It actually is pretty chilly today.
Anytime we stay below 100 deg this time of year, it's a good thing.

Back to the OP.

No one is giving us a chance this year. It is a lot like 2012.

It is almost as if Sumlin has recruited poorly and we have no talent on campus. Sometimes I think Rant posters are not very knowledgable about college football and don't keep up with other teams.

FWIW, I think we are ranked about right. But if we lose to USC it will be because they have a better team.

This thread is an early April fools joke, right? An early college preview from the onion, perhaps?

For 1, it's a preseason ranking which means if you put too much thought or care into it then you're just rustling your own jimmies. Especially if your trying to debate on teams outside the top 10.

Special Statement
Statement as of 4:31 AM CDT on August 18, 2014

...High heat index values across southeast Texas this afternoon...

The combination of warm temperatures and high dew points will produce afternoon heat index values of 103 and 110 degrees this afternoon across much of southeast Texas. The hottest conditions are expected mainly between 1 PM and 6 PM CDT.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. If possible... slow down...reduce...or reschedule strenuous outdoor activities until the coolest part of the day. Wear light weight...loose fitting...and light colored clothing to reflect heat and sunlight. Drink plenty of water. Avoid any alcoholic and caffeinated beverages.

Young children...disabled adults and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Car interiors on hot Summer days can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Make sure to turn the scoreboard on.

Sumlin and the Black Death work their guys in the heat.

All we can say for sure is a number of the defensive guys that were underweight last year have gained from 25 - 35 lbs of muscle.

Don't give a frick about preseason rankings.

all bullshite aside, we have got to use ball control. I like our matchups on the o line. mike davis needs 140 plus yards. keep your offense sittin. also were pretty good at home. I guess we will see after the 28th who should be ranked where. oh and its not hot in texas.
