Greg: "We can add OU but then Bama has to move to the SEC East."

Bama: "Do we lose the cross-division rivalry game?"

Greg: "Would have to"

Bama: "Then we aren't expanding."

Greg: "Ok then I will cancel the press conference and tell the other ADs what we decided."

Bama: "What is this "we" shite about Greg? Don't be getting ideas."

OU and Okie state really don't add much. Not the SEC's problem when the big 12 explodes.

Expanding in 2012 was a mistake.

Eh, I want two more teams and a switch to 4-team pod schedules. That way, I won't have to wait 15 years to see LSU play at Tenn.

I recall seeing an outline for a pod system with the 14 existing members, and it seemed pretty workable. I'll try to find it.

The scheduling is kind of a mess right now, but the SEC was finally able to get into the Texas market and Mizzou also brings in a decent market. OU has prestige, but what else do they offer? Not only that they'd be wanting to bring little brother Okie state too which isn't going to happen.

NCAA rules don't allow for pods.

If the SEC sits passively around, strange things might happen. What would the TV Market look like if a new league formed that consisted of:

Texas
A&M
OU
Oklahoma St
Nebraska
Missouri
Arkansas
Arizona
Arizona ST
TCU
BYU
then throw in ND.

None of those teams have a real loyalty to a Conference, and would chase the biggest check. At some point someone will challenge the SEC for the TV Market.

You're out of your mind if you think any of those teams are going to leave a stable conference to go to a volatile one with texas. Especially the teams who left the big 12 because of texas.

Who on the list is happy with their current situations ? If the SECN check starts to shrink, all is fair.

I'd say all those teams except the current big 12 teams and byu.

I think Ark and Mizzu would leave in a heartbeat, the AZ teams haven't found a niche with the PAC-12 and Nebraska doesn't have a real Big 10 rival. A&M is the only real question mark, and if they do not achieve something soon in the SEC, they will be ready to leave.
