Lacy

Will be a very good running back. Great spin move and quickness. But he seems to be injury-prone so I'll take our stable of backs over him. He's a still a great RB regardless.

How did he rank coming out of high school? He wasn't even one of the top backs in La. The year he signed with Alabama. Would you trade our best back for him and who is our best?

He was a 4-star. He will be average compared to his two predecessors. He is occupying TJ Yeldons spot, until Yeldon is ready. That is all.

I think he'll at least be close to as good as Ingram was in '09.

So because he was a 4 star he won't be good? You know Ingram was a 3 star right?

Lacy is legit, but turf toe is tricky. It is purely wait-and-see with him.

I think we will see more of a 3 running back rotation but it would be sweet to see Lacy have a good season without any type of injuries

He was the #2 rated back behind Michael Ford.

So you think that he is better tan any of our running backs? You can't be serious. Anyone of our backs would be successful running behind the Alabama line. Besides, I think that LSU has the edge at offensive line this year. A very small edge.

bama's offensive line was better than yours last year, and is going to be better this year than last year. what makes you think you have any edge? there will not be a better offensive line in the country next year than bama's

They say Lacy has been running full speed during the summer work out program. Whether or not he will be back to his old self is yet to be seen because turf toe is a very tricky injury. And Yeldon maybe good but he's going to start as the third string back behind Fowler. That kid is a beast and I'm surprised we haven't put him in on more third and short situations.

cant for the life of me figure out why people seem to think lacy is not one of the best backs in the country this year? he has fantastic size (6' 220lbs), great strength (watch him carry the entire LSU defense for a 1st down in the NC game, with turf toe), great speed ( sub 4.5 40 when healthy), better quickness and moves than ingram or richardson, and has made the most of the carries he has gotten, rushed for over 1000 so far in his career at over 7 yards per carry. if he comes back near 100% i would not trade him for any back in the country (all of lsu's backs, davis, and lattimore included).

turf toe can be bad, and normally having surgery on it means it is really bad. the normally do surgery on turf toe for 2 reasons, a badly ruptured tendon, or bone fragments complicating healing. since he was up and running on it in the NC game to great effect, it couldnt have been the ruptured tendon, so im thinking he must have had some loose tissue or bone fragments keeping the joint from completely healing. if that is the case, he should be 100% for the season

And to think that LSU was able to outrush bama last november. How is that possible considering tigers were running against a defense that was GOAT.

Since sabans been at bama, LSU has outrushed him in '07, '08, '10 and '11. Twice going over 200. Name the last two SEC teams to rush for over 200 on a saban "D" and the year they did it. Twice holding bama under 100 yards. One was even under 25.

How is it that last november LSU was able to hold that GOAT O-line and an all american RB backed up by the #4 RB in college football for '12 to under 100 yards rushing?

I think Lacy is overrated. He would be in the mix for carries at LSU along with Ware, Ford, Blue, and Hilliard.

He's not as talented as Richardson (not many RBs are), but with Bama's 0-line, it won't really matter. If he stays healthy, I see him gaining at least 85-110 yards a game.

All I know is in two games VS LSU last year his YPC was under 4. Dosn't really matter what he did against anybody else.

you didnt. richardson and lacy together had 108 yards. maze had -6 and mccarron had -6, bringing the team total down to 96. we got 150 on you on 1/9, to your paltry 39 yards. it took ford 4 carries to get his 1 yard in that game. your team averaged 1.4 ypc.
