Lots of crazy going on in the LSU world, but LF7 has had a good year. Had a down game or 2, but for the season he is currently 13th in the SEC all-time (single seaon) with 1 game plus a bowl left remaining. How high up the ladder will he go?

Here is the list:

Rank.Name...................School........Yards...Year
1.......Herschel Walker.....Georgia.......1,891...1981
2.......Darren McFadden..Arkansas......1,830...2007
3.......Tre Mason............Auburn........1,816...2013
4.......Bo Jackson............Auburn........1,786...1985
5.......Herschel Walker....Georgia.......1,752...1982
6.......Charles Alexander.LSU.............1,686...1977
7.......Trent Richardson..Alabama.......1,679...2011
8.......Mark Ingram.........Alabama.......1,658...2009
9.......Darren McFadden.Arkansas......1,647...2006
10......Herschel Walker..Georgia.......1,616...1980
11......Moe Williams......Kentucky......1,600...1995
12......Emmitt Smith......Florida.........1,599...1989
13......Leonard Fournette.LSU...........1,582...2015

McFadden error fixed. Was a copy and paste from here (with lots of tedious formatting with dots) so I didn't just type it wrong.

if he breaks the school record for rushing yards in a game he will jump up to #2

He will be pretty high up after the bowl game.

I'm impressed with Darren McFadden. Not only was he able to do it at 2 different schools, he was able to stay eligible for 7 years.

Easily to 1 if that's counting a bowl game. A&M's run defense is mediocre and at 8-4 they should draw a pretty weak bowl team as well that won't be able to stop him.

A&M's run defense has been horrific this year. Their pass defense has been pretty damn good IIRC. Fournette should torch them

# 5 with a better than 50% chance to #4 after Saturdays game. He will be either 1 or 2 after the bowl game.

So you're saying he's only good if the opposing team can't stop the run?

Stop everything and give him the Heisman Trophy already.

40% of his yards come in 3 non conference games.

Averages 136 yards per game in SEC play

I think he will have around 145 total Saturday along with a fumble.

generally Running backs have a bad time when other teams stop the run.

He put up 180 on Florida who has a quality D. He has however lost a lot of good blocking with JD Moore/Dillon Gordon out for the season and Hawkins being dinged up the last few. I do tip my hat to what Bama did though. That was some respectable D that day.

I think when all is said and done, he will be 2 and Henry will be 1. Henry still has potentially 4 games to play and he isn't far behind LF now. I think most reasonable people will eventually realize LF is the best back we have seen in years and there may not be another one as good as him for a long time to come.

Yeah Henry will break 2000 i feel like. Unless he gets 2 carries against Auburn. 15 games is a lot of carries for a guy that good.

I've a feeling he'll climb all the way to number two, barring something unforeseen. It should be noted that Walker, Jackson and Alexander's numbers were in the 11-game regular season only.
